New Track - Peggy's Theme

Hi everyone! It's been a while since we've done a post sharing a new track from our composer Will, but you're lucky enough to get this song hot off the press. I'll let him introduce this one.

(Note: Peggy and her identity is a bit of an early-game spoiler, so you might want to hold off on reading Will's post until you've played through Sylvia's route until she appears)

This one's pretty straightforward, but I like it! It came together without much iteration, so there's just one file for the whole thing. Being that Peggy is Margaret's more-confident, Sylvia-styled alter-ego, I took the instruments, rhythm, and several bits and pieces of Sylvia's theme and filtered Margaret's theme through them. It's fun to do things like this with music I've already worked on because it turns into an exercise that's less focused on the technical side of things and more focused on the creative challenge. It's also a fun exercise in artistic justification - Margaret's drums are nearly identical (though just a bit softer) compared to Sylvia's to serve as a symbol that she wants to walk the same walk (and it also allows me to not write a new drum part, lol). The riskier, more dissonant chords, communicate (at least to me) a lack of confidence being morphed into something that's trying to sound assured, a bit of Margaret's own personal style. Cap it all off with a very stupid pun title (which you can’t see right now because spoilers, sorry!!) and overall I'm very pleased with how this came together. Enjoy!
