Hi patrons, we hope your year has started out strong!

We ourselves are using 2022's first month to bring you yet another ending to as we close in on finishing Mice Tea's story.   With that in mind, let's get straight to this month's additions:

New Story - The (Alternate) Main Gavin Ending

Last time we gave you a story update, we treated you to the main ending of Gavin's path, though actually about half of it. Late in the game we hinted at a choice that helped you choose one of two versions of that story's conclusion. Included is a new sex scene that caps this alternate path. Both variations of the ending provide a sweet, heartwarming culmination to the route, and we think both are worth playing whether or not you've played through one already. Especially since...

New CGs - New entries from UBF and KDhynamo

...we've got tons of new art in that route!

KD has provided a CG for the scene preceding each intimate scene, which had to be illustrated via sprites in the last update. It's currently at the line-art stage, but there are two variants depending on which ending you choose.

UBF has also finished the CGs for the first Gavin ending and has provided sketches for the new ending. It shows off some of the richest, lushest rendering UBF has provided us so far, and perfectly captures the romantic-yet-dangerous feeling of the scene.

That same rendering skill is also on display for the CGs used in Julie's ending. You'd be forgiven for thinking they were close to finished before, but we hope this side-by-side comparison shows just how much work has been put into them. That along with some new insert panels lets you see just how much care UBF took.

New Sprites - Rupey and Adrianna

Rupey continues our string of cameo sprites, this time becoming the fifth anthro character to appear in the game outside the main cast. She actually has a history with Gavin that you'll remember if you played his story to completion, but now you can see her lovingly illustrated by KD in her full form.

Also, a big milestone in the game comes in the completion of Adrianna's sprite. Appearing early on in Sylvia's route, she's the first character sprite who's not a cameo and not part of the main cast. She's one of the few named NPCs though, and is present at a pivotal point of the Sylvia narrative. KD did a great job making her beautiful and a little bit intimidating and we think she's a great first step at fleshing out the supporting cast of the game.

New Backgrounds - Tea Friends Back Shelf and Forest Field

We're really committed to the Gavin route this update, which is why both new backgrounds appear in his route. One of them you see in the Rupey image above is for the ending while the Tea Friends storeroom appears a few times earlier in the path. Both are great additions by HeartGear and feature our first totally natural setting in the game. I guess that's what happens when you make a game about young adults living in a big city.

New Feature - Improved Music Player

Since we finished the soundtrack in the last update, we figured we needed a music player that was up to the task of showcasing it. The music menu under the Extras page now has media control buttons, a progress bar, a volume slider, and a repeat function. Now you can choose your favorite track and listen to it as long as you like. Well, I guess you could do that before, but you'd have to remember where it appears in the game and skip to it before leaving it idling there. Much more convenient now!

And that's it for this update! We'll be back next month to finish out the last main ending in the game, making the game (basically) story complete! Since we're certain of what our work load will be, there will be no poll to start the month, but we will have some exciting news about how our patrons can influence the course of the game's development.
