Mice Tea Is Going on Sale! Patreon Access is Changing! And We're Working on Something New!

Hello patrons, and welcome to one of the biggest announcements we've had yet:

MICE TEA WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR SALE NEXT MONTH!

People will be able to purchase Mice Tea from itch.io with no need for a Patreon membership or an ongoing pledge! The game will still be in early access as we complete the last few months of development, but anyone who purchases the game will receive free updates until we reach version 1.0 and whatever we decide to include past that point.

The game will be sold for $20 and will not have any sort of DRM on itch.io.

An outcome of the release of the game as a standalone product is that we're changing how the Patreon provides access to the Early Access version of the game.

STARTING FEBRUARY, PATRONS WILL NOT RECEIVE ACCESS TO THE GAME DOWNLOAD VIA THEIR MONTLY PLEDGE

It won't be February 1st, since we'd like to give people a bit of a grace period, but starting February 7th, $5 or $10 pledgse will not allow you access to the game we'll be concurrently selling at $20 elsewhere. However, most of you will still be getting access to the game because:

ALL PATRONS WHO HAVE DONATED $20 (CUMULATIVELY) SINCE JANUARY 2022 WILL RECEIVE A COPY OF THE FULL GAME

You won't need to buy the game, since you're getting one already! You'll be receiving a download code to your Patreon email that you will apply to your itch.io account. This will allow you to receive all free updates to version 1.0 and beyond, just like anyone who bought the game via the Itch.io store page. If you just haven't yet reached $20, go ahead and pledge another month or two until you do and you'll get the same benefit. 

So, to wrap up:

• The game's going on sale soon
• It'll be $20
• It's still early access, but you'll get free updates until the final version's out
• You won't get a download to the game via your monthly pledge after February 7th
• If you've pledged at least $20 since January 1st, 2022, you'll get a copy and those same free updates
• Haven't hit $20 yet? Keep pledging and you'll get a copy once you do

We'll still be running the Patreon going forward and we hope you'll still support us. And, if you need any reason to keep pledging, we'd like to throw in some (early, definitely not final) concept art for our next project to keep you interested.
