My 10 least favorite Supreme Court justices

This one was three years coming. Sorry for the delay! haha

I'm glad I waited, though, due to all the revelations about a certain justice that came out last year.

Thank you for your continued support!

My 10 least favorite Supreme Court justices

There has never been any law more anti- “states rights” than the Fugitive Slave Act. I’m glad to see someone call that out for what it is.

Robert Kandell

I agree about the 18-year appointment!

Mr. Beat

Good arguments. The court of public opinion should be proud. One of the most disappointing things about the Supreme Court justices is the lifetime appointments. There are no consequences for out of touch justices. Ideally, a 18 year appointment (generation of service) would keep that in check somewhat. Also, Clarence Thomas’s votes in cases involving the 2020 election and January 06 are suspect.

Honestly it's about what people will click on. In the video I clearly state that this is my opinion. I hope people don't see it as any kind of authoritative list. This is one reason why the comment section is so valuable. Speaking of which, you should defend Thomas on there. lol

Mr. Beat

What tipped the scales for Thomas to me was his blatant corruption. His opinions sometimes were just fine, and he always has come across as a nice person, but facts are facts regarding all the money and gifts he got.

Mr. Beat

I do want to point out that your title of "least favorite Supreme court justices" is more accurate then what you say in the video of "Worst Supreme Court Justices in History." im glad you made your title a lot better and reflective of the fact that your opinion and own personal biases do aid in your choices. though there can be no doubt that at least the top 4 or 6 of your least favorite would would share a spot on the list of Worst Supreme Court Justices in History.

Wow Clarence Thomas is actually one of my favorite supreme Court Justices. of course that shows my political leanings. I have always heard that Anita Hill lied and the wealthy donators to me is just a norm of federal politics now days to a point im desensitize to it. So his good far outways the bad. And im so thankful for him ending the federal mandation of one of the largest human rights violations in human history allowing the states to battle it out. Given that there is recently bias for sure with Thomas you never know. 20 years from now when we are old and gray our views could flip completely and you could love Thomas while i despise him.

He also argued against antitrust laws, and write that loosely-regulated corporate mergers, and not competition, would lower prices.

Alon Katz

Yeah I totally understand why Bork was so controversial

Mr. Beat

And some people can't decide if the Constitution is something to be taken literally, or interpretively. You'll even hear both instances from the same person!

D.F.

Can you imagine if Robert Bork had become a justice? He tops my list of top 5 or 10 nominees that never became a justice. Especially when he fired Archibald Cox during the Watergate scandal as Solicitor General. He was also an Originalist. As someone who believes the constitution is a living, breathing, evolving document… originalism is definitely something I’m not a fan of in the Supreme Court.
