“What do I want?” they ask quietly, their breath burning your mouth. Their tone is soft, with a hint of steel that leaves you tense, aware that you’ve approached a predator closer than you should have if you wanted to stay safe. “I can’t explain it in words.”
Their finger caresses the skin of your wrist, their touch scorchingly hot—or maybe it feels so because of their proximity. Now, this is a line crossed for certain, without ambiguity. It leaves you breathless. Focused on them alone—they outshine everything, fill all the space in your mind. It might have been unintentionally on their part before, but it is definitely intentionally now, and that only makes you more ravenous.
You move closer. Another dare. Another challenge. But you refuse to be the first to act. “Then show me.”
