2024-05-01 17:21:36 +0000 UTCWell, the movie is a pretty faithful adaptation so if you lack the time and/or enough interest you are probably fine. I will say this though: this is a big classic of 20th century American Children Literature for a reason. And it has been banned so many times across the US that its worth reading for that alone.
