2024-09-09 04:38:06 +0000 UTCI agree with you, it doesn’t feel fair that Ted’s only mad at Barney. I think a big part of it is that he’s not really over Robin, so it’s harder to be mad at her. Robin’s ex Simon is played by James Van Der Beek, aka Dawson from ”Dawson’s Creek”. He seems like a cool guy; IIRC he also played a fictionalized version of himself on another show (like Wil Wheaton did on TBBT).

That whole Vegas thing and "wanted you to be in the best possible mood" when, as a "bro" he should have told him...regardless of what Robin wanted. Robin was selfish in that scenario. She was the reason they were at odds, and not because they slept together, but because she told Ted after telling Barney not to.

The difference is Barney always goes on about bro code this, bro that, you're my best friend etc. Then does something that completely negates all of that. It's one of those situations where the selfishness becomes too much.
