Kitty 100% knows Laurie is doing bad at school and sleeping around, Red just sees his little girl. Remember the episode with the bad therapist and Kitty telling Laurie how she felt about her. Second episode truly showed how strong Kitty and nurses are, to go through that daily requires a strong will. And Kitty isn't even an ER nurse, those nurses and doctors are made of steel. Red and Kitty become parents to the whole gang as you continue to watch. This episode it was mostly Red and Jackie with a bit of Hyde. Wait till you get episodes with Red bonding with Fez, they are hilarious. There's one episode that is great but its several seasons away. With the third episode, Hyde didnt ask Jackie out, out of pity but so she would stop crying. Now those two would make for a cute couple, an enemies to lovers sort of trope. Jackie and Kelso, I think the director was more picking up on the actors chemistry than the characters. Actors- the singer was indeed Gloria Gaynor, love that she showed up in this, her song is still great even today. Katey Sagal (Hyde's mom) is in a lot of stuff, I grew up watching her first in 8 Simple Rules and then in Married with Children.
