Exactly. Roland Emmerich's 2012 film is almost as long. 158 minutes including credits

Thank you so much Cody. This movie is a real classic and your reaction to it, just awesome as always. Since I discovered this movie, it is one of my favourite action movies. But I also agree, that it is a little bit too long. Some scenes are way more longer, than they should be. Another thing about this movie: The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) wanted producer Irwin Allen to put a hint in the credits that such a catastrophe could not happen in a modern office building. Allen only wanted to accept this, if the BOMA would put up a sign, in every building without a sprinkler system, with the hint "This building is not fireproof". That's why they didn't do that. Thanks again for the reaction and until next time.

I think the film is good. It is, so to speak, the beginning of disaster films. You can't watch it that often, but it is exciting anyway. It also has practical effects and not CGI. This film won three Oscar Awards and two Golden Globes
