Settle, Solar & CT Scan.

Hey folks!

Sorry for the delay with this one.
It required a re-edit. Some of the emotions surrounding Lance's injury and that whole situation had bled through into the footage and the last edit, it's a tough subject to cover and even now it's still quite fresh, so I took a few days to look it back over and re-do it.

Because of this the timeline is a little off, you probably won't notice a thing but I've sat here perplexed at my clothes changing too often n things happening before they happened.
The solar project especially has been condensed and added in as filler for the rants and less entertaining crap that was taken out.

I hope it's a little more balanced now, I knew going in this one was going to be tricky, it's never nice explaining nasty stuff.

The pair of us are back on the legs we we're born with, Lances is happy despite being 2WD and wobbly, and my knee is making a comeback faster than expected, I can walk without my Eucalyptus cane now, but also wobbly. We're just a wobbly pair these days 😂

I hope you enjoy,
All my best,
C.J

EDIT: HD version now fixed.

Vets here in the UK are infuriatingly expensive and crap a lot of the time! For those of us unfortunate enough to have shocking vets fees, there is an Aussie vet on YT who gives out some brilliant advice re meds that can be used for dogs and cats. ‘Veterinary Secrets’ is the name of the channel x

Sara

sending you both so much love and gentle hugs. xxx

Maxine

Sending love and hugs to you both 🤗

Sue B

Oh Lancey baby, love and hugs xx

Andie Frogley

When will the big deck energy t shirts be available? Amazing 😂😂

Jac bottomley

The vets in the uk are totally corrupt ! I’ve just paid £165 for ear drops for 4 days ! It is just unrealistic, you do an amazing job with Lance keep it up

I hope Lance is all ok mate! We've got an old boy now, he's a lovely Golden retriever but he's starting to show his age now :( I don't want to think about how much I've paid for 3 days of eye drops here in the UK. I think it was something like £250 and then we had to get more because they didn't work. I'm honestly tempted to ask a doctor friend for what they put in those eye drops and see if can buy it off the shelf, it has to be the same stuff that you put in human eyes right? Just with a £240 mark up 😂 also pet insurance didn't help and just said that's he's "too old" for help 😡 what is that supposed to mean????

Penelope

Everything crossed for the little man 🤞🤞 hopping he doesn’t need surgery for his sake and yours 🤞 stay positive and take care mate 😁 by the way another cracking video 👍👍

I don’t think anyone can be as harsh on us than we are. I’ve a pup and I’ve had to face these same kind of situations. I beat myself as you did. I appreciate you sharing this with us. It helps me and no doubt others as well. Press on and live.

Excellent vlog. Just a thought, most controllers need battery to operate, if panel is connected without battery it can damage the controller. Connect Battery first when enabling system. Solar panel disconnected first when shutting system down.

Brucie_The_Kiwi

Aw lovely vlog as usual. Glad to see you back safely, pottering around. Lance looks great, you mind him well but a dogs gotta do what a dogs gotta do, you can't protect him from everything!

Susan twomey

Lance be ok mate dogs are robust. Cant control all there antic’s got let them live a little too 💙

Stephen Williamson

I'm pleased you know, finally what's wrong, it's easy to say I know, but you have to stop blaming yourself. Lance could not have a more caring owner... well, you could dust the table a bit more often, but you know what I mean 😉 The vet thing is outrageous. Britain becomes more depressing by the day. My thoughts are with the boy Lance and hope the next step will be the lesser of the treatments. I know how much he means to you. I had my boy for 17 years (Jack Russell), he cost me a fortune during that time, I wouldn't of changed it for anything. All the best.

First of all CJ you do a great job as a pet owner looking after Lance, he's a little fighter you can tell from the progress he's made, the solar project went well good to know you've got more power generated by your solar panels.

Brian Brown

I'm glad you finally know what's wrong with Lance and sorry the uk vets are such money grabbing twats! Hopefully he won't need surgery and will fully heal on his own. Stop beating yourself up as you can't control his every movement and you did everything you could to get him help once he'd unfortunately injured himself ❤

Dreaded scots lass

They are family (better than some of my family) not pets. I think there is some kind of government inquiry going on about the prices vets charge, the vets will probably just pay the government off anyway.🤬 my dog is 13 years old and I am dreading the day she goes, but we just have to live in the moment and enjoy the time we have together.🫡🫡

AntLab

Yeah luckily she is absolutely fine. I'm glad you have been able to finally get Lance thoroughly checked out. Hopefully he's well on the mend now!

maadmaxxer

Don't be so hard on yourself,we're here for the stories and to see what the boss gets up to and talking of bosses I'm glad he's recovering ❤️🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

Those prices are nothing but Ludicrous and that is coming from a norwegian and former dog owner... All the best. P.J.

Mr. Berg

CJ first do not be angry with yourself, you have been and still are the best partner Lance could ever have. As for mortality, I had a working Springer lived to be 13 then talked into a Black Lab who passed when he was 14. The pain and grief is just like losing a child. I still miss them but they have left me so many memories that sometimes it feels like they are still here and I find myself talking to them. Once again a great video!!

Chas House

Oh no! Are they ok now? Yeah it's a joke man. I paid 1 vet £120 for a "second opinion", she wouldn't let us in until she'd received the file on Lance and read what the last vet said, then said she didn't know so proceeded to tell us every possible horrific outcome it could be and took my money. Unfortunately the prices aren't the vets, it's the practice owners and insurance companies, they're all lovely and tucked up in bed together.

Project.Amber

My dog (nearly 12 months old) ate rat poison 2 weeks ago, £650 it cost. Maybe I should open a vet practice, charge half what everyone else does, and still make a killing!

maadmaxxer

Hi CJ, I enjoyed the video it was well put together, as for you and Lance injurys you both just need time to heal.

Mark Lewis

I’m happy (in a way) that you now know what Lance’s injury is/was and I also understand your rage against the British vets but don’t be angry with yourself you did what you could with the knowledge you had. I hope he doesn’t need the surgery and rehab at the vet for his sake… On a different note.. I think John Easton has a very good and valid point to place a note on your dash.

Stephan

Put a note on your dash, unplug solar panel before driving off,!!

John Easton

I just wanted to be the first comment 😂😂🫡🫡
