Notebook discovery.

As I pulled 1 binder out the cupboard this little red booklet fell out with it. It’d been so long I almost forgot what it was.
This was my in-pocket notebook that lived on me during the build of Amber.
I’d scribble measurements, parts lists, sketches & doodles, motivational helping hands… it logged basically all day-to-day info and ideas about the build as my memory has never been the best.
Most of it is nonsense in my 5 year old’s hand writing, but here are a few pages of more recognisable bits.
I always used to say this van was a 1 year “throwaway” van and yet revisiting these notebooks would suggest that a little too much detail and effort was put in right at the very beginning for that to really be the case.
Maybe I subconsciously decided that this knackered tin can would be around for a little longer?
A whopping 8 years ago. 😳
Some people have had more previous vans than I have of these notebooks for 1 build! 🤣
It’s so strange looking back at these scribbles. It was such a shit time in my life, yet the thing I was pouring all my time and effort into building was a few months away from changing that forever.

haha same! "get it on paper quick!" Yeah there was quite a few that didn't get done for various reasons. The draw that holds all the tins n pasta etc. was once going to be a fridge, I even bought he stuff for it and insulated it before realising it just would not work well enough to store food lol

Had to jot them down before they fell through the holes in my memory. Great to look back on them too. Did you find anything you forgot to put in the build ? . Thanks for sharing. Cheers
