Supporter Newsletter - July

Hello to all of our beautiful Supporters! Happy July to everyone and since it's the 1st, I just wanted to say happy Canada Day to all of our Canadian friends! THE SUMMER IS FINALLY HERE!!! That means it's time for Requiem's first-ever Summer Bash filled with tons of events and a huge giveaway. I know I teased the PS5 Giveaway last month but it's here now and you have 1 month to stack up your entries for a chance to win.

June was a pretty fun month with our Charity Stream alongside the Talent Show. We even got one of the biggest updates that Sea of Thieves has seen which added our favorite pirate Captain Jack Sparrow. This really means there is going to be no end to what kind of content Rare can bring to us. Let's just hope we still get our custom servers soon!

It's time to jump into the budgeting for the month of June. Please note that all of these expenses do not include any extra revenue Requiem did not spend. A majority of the money spent for June has gone towards Staff Benefits (%58) which includes staff payments, team giveaways, officer of the month, sot officer plunder passes, etc. Our monthly normal savings (%20) go towards our quarterly charity events and taxes at the end of the year. An additional expense that we always have is our Server Hosting/Maintenance (%8) which goes towards our VPS, Dedicated Machine Hosting, Premium Bots, Website, etc. Our last monthly expense is our Giveaways/Charity Donation (14%) which goes to exactly what you'd think.

I'm not sure if many of you read our main newsletter that I write up every month for our community but I would recommend checking it out if you haven't. I opened up a bit more in the Closing Statement to hopefully show you all how much you mean to me. This community is amazing and I don't know what I'd do without it. I just don't feel like I deserve it and unfortunately, there's plenty of people out there that also feel the same way which just depresses me. I'll be here for you guys always and forever. Thank you for being such a great community.

Hello. Welcome to July!  

Mookest here again. Some of the world is starting to go back to normal. Some of us haven’t noticed because we are staying inside playing games and having fun. Well if you do go out and about soon enough we will be offering merch. Spent all last month designing and getting it rolling. Just a few items to help you represent where you been having fun. Keep on the look out for a merch announcement and preorder in the near future. Stay safe, stay cool and have fun. We’ll see you this month. Hello there! Spylon here.   

For those that don't know, I'm the Creative Director of Requiem. You might be wondering what that means for my day-to-day activities and responsibilities here in Requiem. The easiest way to explain that would probably be to give you a brief summary of how I spent my past month.   

The past month I've been working on various projects. I started of the month by giving creative direction for a YouTube intro and outro. You'll probably get the chance to take a peek at it when our next YouTube video drops within the next few weeks.  
I also made some progress on a Sea of Thieves infographic, which has been quite a slow process so far. It mostly just requires quite a lot of manual labor, but I'm getting there!
Being the Creative Director isn't just about giving creative direction and doing some of the hands-on designing. I've spent a significant part of my month in meetings with external creatives as well, aiming to find new talent that could benefit Requiem. I think it's safe to say that turned out to be a success!   

As some of you may or may not know I'm also a developer at heart. That being said, I've spent a good amount of time on a more technical project as well. I'll keep the details of that project a secret for now. Maybe you'll hear about it in the next newsletter... Only one way to find out!

Hi, I'm Penny! For those who don't know, I'm the Community Leader for Requiem. Some of you may have received a message from me recently asking a few questions about your experience in Requiem. I've been conducting a satisfaction survey throughout the Discord with randomly selected members. If you're interested in being part of this project, please reach out to me in DMs. I've also been assisting in getting our merch store up and launched. Don't tell anyone I told you but we will soon have our pre-order shop up for our merchandise so keep an eye out. Other than that, I will be continuing to try and figure out ways to make our Discord a bigger, better place for all of you. We appreciate you supporters more than you'll ever know! Please reach out anytime for any concerns or questions you may have. Until then, I'm out!

Howdy again you wonderful supporters. For those of you that don't know me I'm Roesch21 the Recruitment Lead here at Requiem. Recruitment has been coming along per usual. As some of you may have seen we have our FiveM 2.0 stress test this Friday with a planned launch date in just a few short weeks! Because of this the focus of my team will be on FiveM for the time being. I know many of you may have never played GTA V or FiveM. I encourage you to come check out our server. We were recently featured in a MrBeast Gaming YouTube video in collaboration with NoPixel. What an awesome experience that was. As always we love you guys and gals and thank you for your support!

June was a hectic month. We had our charity event, Sea of Thieves had one of their biggest updates ever, and we collaborated with MrBeast Gaming & nopixle. Our community continues to grow at an unimaginable rate, and as we grow, we work hard to adapt to the influx of players.  

This month we are hosting our Summer Bash event. We will have daily events & giveaways throughout the month.   

I am currently working to finalize a guide for each event. These guides will be used to make each event run as smoothly and as successfully as possible. As I finalize these guides, I am looking back at the suggestions and feedback from our community to implement improvements.   

None of this would be possible without all of your support. I am excited to see how far we can take this community.

Moderator - Kakarot

Yo Kakarot here! Ya boi is the current MC Lead. This month not too much has been going on, mostly behind the scenes work on the servers. Earlier in the month the new 1.17 part 1 update came out. We updated so people can join but the server isn't actually 1.17 yet. We also added a way for people on mobile or windows edition to join the servers. There still is a problem with mobile though that we are trying to fix. Other than that not too much has been going on. I do plan to have some big updates coming soon for the towny server and then the skyblock server hopefully. Well that's all I got bye bye!

Hello there, its Yassinator one of the General Moderators.  

Over the past month I've been in the background working on different projects and the the overall upkeep of the Community. If you were there for our charity stream you may have seen me in the chat every now and then as i was moderating almost the entire stream.

Moderator - Dash

Hey guys! It's Dash here, the dev lead.   

This month has been pretty fun, with some awesome new bots in the process of being created. Our infrastructure has been running smoothly without any hiccups. We've brought on a new dev team member to help me out with more of the server and network administration side of things, so if I'm unavailable, he'll be able to do most required tasks. All in all, things have been moving forward slowly but surely and I'm looking forward to seeing what our devs come up with over the next few months!

Moderator - Drizzy

Hello all of you wonderful supporters! I'm Drizzy, one of the new General Moderators.  

Over the last month I have been working towards ensuring community upkeep and making overall moderation easier and more efficient for our staff, and for you guys! One of the projects I was working on included ensuring the coverage and making on-duty work easier for our wonderful officers. With this came a smoother experience for you guys, and I hope to continue that trend. We also just hosted our Charity Event last Saturday, and along with our team I helped organize some events such as the DJ and the Talent show (which were awesome by the way!). I will be continuing to stream on the official Requiem twitch channel, so if you ever see me on there don't be afraid to say hello!  

If you guys ever need anything, don't be afraid to message my DM's! I'm always open. And If you guys ever see me around, don't be afraid to holla! Until next time guys.

Moderator - JunkyWRX

Hello everyone! Junky here, back with some exciting news about our FiveM Roleplay server!  

The server is SO close to being finished! We have our last beta test tomorrow at 8pm CST (It's public by the way). Once that test is over we'll determine how everything looks and what a launch date will be!   

This last month Solidifies and myself have been hard at work getting everything ready. Some cool things that we've worked on that most FiveM servers don't have are Custom Police Cruisers from the vehicle side, a K-9 script, and a very elaborate heist progression system that will have your heads turning!  

Thank you so much for supporting us and I can't wait to meet you in the streets of Los Santos!

Hey guys, Jeefer here.  

This month has been a big month for me and the Support Team, We spent a lot of time reading through all of your wonderful suggestions (keep them coming!) and have even implemented a few such as tall tale rules among other's. The support team was also given some additional resources to help answer any questions you may have as well as offer support through the tickets. You may have seen me or some other member's of the support team in the chats bringing up some amazing events that we host here at Requiem to keep you guys in the loop.

Moderator - Tenebris Kane

Hello everyone, I am Tenebris Kane, the current SoT Lead. As many of you are already aware SoT has been a big topic as of late, with not only the new season being released but also the partnership with Disney and the new tall tales that came with it. We have been seeing more and more people playing in the server and we have tried to accommodate the new tall tales by allowing tall tale boats on the servers temporarily.   

I would also like to raise awareness that with things as busy as they have been we are always looking for anyone who would be willing to help out and join the team. The current SoT staff have done an amazing job so far keeping things running but with the current surge in players we would be grateful to anyone who has the time to spare.
