Love this 🙂 I wached s1 & s2 so many times 😇 Remember how in s1, in locker scene, Charli imagines that Nick likes him too and then Nick's school badge changes color and has hearts instead of black Truham symbols? This is similarly in the rugby changing room scene. Charlie's badge changes to one with hearts and colored rays. After the magic moment passes, it's as usual again. 🩷🩷🩷

2024-08-11 09:54:15 +0000 UTCon the topic of small details, one of my favorites is the background conversation when charlie is talking to nick at the door. Charlie says something like "you made cookies!" and nick responds sarcastically with "i know, its so unlike me!" given that we know nick is a baker, i love the idea that he just shows up with freshly baked cookies all the time.

I agree that with multiple watches (I honestly don't know how many time I have watched it) you do start to see the smaller things and notice certain things that follow through. One thing I keep noticing, at the start of the study hall when Mr. Farouk talks to Nick, he taps his arm after, kind of making it seem like he knows Nick is a good kid, but later when he comes back and talks to Ben and Nick, he seems to be glaring at Ben, and not Nick... I would love to see a top 5 moments, though it is kind of subjective, the top moments for you may differ from those of others...but you know I will watch whatever content you put out!

Long haired Tao is always looking out, waiting for something bad to happen, he is mean and sarcastic. Short haired Tao is much softer, more vulnerable and hopeful, he let his guard down.

Indeed one of my comfort shows - desperately chasing the feeling of watching it for the first time. Luckily the show is so good you can watch it over and over again.

I feel the same way about Heartstopper; it will always be my happy place that warms my heart. Excited to see the rest of this series of revisits! I'd also love to see your ranking of favorite scenes - maybe a few different lists for different reasons (acting, cinematography, etc.).

2024-08-10 03:54:23 +0000 UTCI would love a favorite season 2 scene ranking 🥰 Also something that another reactor noticed: The way Nick waves at Charlie slowly changes as their relationship progresses. Starting from season 1 up until the end of season 2 it becomes more and more like the way Charlie waves (last episode at prom in particular) And you can actually in S2 Ep6 where Nick got his initial style of waving from 😉 I think k it’s a very cute detail.

2024-08-09 20:18:17 +0000 UTCOne great thing about watching the show again after having seen it multiple times is that it’s easier to focus on the smaller details that go by so quickly when you’re having to follow the storyline. So there are all sorts of subtleties that I can notice instead of concentrating on plot. These are subtleties of acting as well as of directorial decisions and even set and costume design. And the show excels in all of those things. I will never understand people who dismiss this show as unrealistic or too sweet, because even though some things may be slightly idealized, it’s not in an impossible way, and stark realism is not exactly what the show is about anyway. But people act like it’s a cute show with no darkness at all, and that makes me wonder if they actually even watched the show. It’s interesting what you said at the end about this being the comfort show that you will always go back to, because I feel sort of that way about Skam Season 3, and it may be because I saw it first that it made the greater impact. I still love Heartstopper and think it’s absolutely terrific, but I wonder if the fact of watching Skam first has a lot to do with that being the show that I tend to want to defend to the death.
