A couple guys discuss it on the Podcast "Game Studies Study Buddies" and over the course of the episode they mention a few other texts that may be worth reading. Brain Rot = Machine Zone induced phantom limb. Digital slot machines really strike me as social media minus the 'content'; the user is sniffing around for truffles but the designer keeps rearranging the foliage so their victims don't sense the circles they are moving in. I couldn't say if they are in fact 'slopless' or actually pure, uncut slop.
