Bears have a lot of cap space and draft capital next year. I want us to keep Fields, draft MHJ, Left tackle and a Center. That’s as stacked an offense as there is on any top team. Run that Ravens RPO, pound the rock, and let all that speed and talent make plays. Drafting another QB with similar traits to Fields seems like a step back. With better coaches in place to use the talent not the scheme to dictate their identity on offense they could be a juggernaut after the 2024 draft and free agency.

Maybe it's just me, but I don't think you need the "I'm not being a jerk" in your analysis. This is the highest league and the details matter. You're not a jerk by calling out something that's going to cost him in the future and I hope the coaching staff is doing something similar. The little mistakes need to get cleaned up or there won't ever been any improvement.

JT would do a great job. I know 65 LG Whitehair would not be around on this team. 18 TE Tunyon had a horrible game blocking ! I would rather see 84 Mercedes Lewis out there more.

That was a rough 2nd half ! " What are we doing here " ?
" I have not seen that play call since high school " !
" What you you doing sending 85 on a screen , he is not fast / you send him on
routes that he can bully the defensive backs "
Well JT do you really think Bears OC Luke Getsy has a clue ?

And have you watched JF breakdowns from this season, GB, Tampa and KC? He def doesn’t show much in those games
Paul Delgreco
2023-11-08 16:58:22 +0000 UTC
I never said he was better than JF. I said he reads defenses and gets rid of the ball better than JF. And he’s in game 3 of his career not game 35. I want JF to be the guy in Chicago.

I heard him ripping on the coaches and a couple plays. I think he’s done with Bears offense regardless of QB. Also, QBs learn on the job which plays they cannot make in the NFL once they get some experience. I’m asking in a general sense about arm talent and ability, when others seem to see 3 plays as an indicator a QBs ceiling is limited to QB2.

That’s also his weaknesses today but what about the future? Have no starting quarterbacks that have been successful ever had these problems their rookie year game three?

Yeah, I got that but he also says something like I can’t watch this with the bouncing!

He just gave you the answer in 3 videos. The first video he says it "man he just doesn't have enough arm" in this video he says "dam I hope Fields is back next week I cant watch this shit anymore."
Michael Lewis
2023-11-08 09:38:02 +0000 UTC
Its not the bounce bro, its his inabiliity to drive windows, attack the field deep outside the numbers. Its okay hes a great story but lacks premier arm talent. He's not a QB1 hes a back up who can come in and play solid enough for the run game and defense to win games until the defense adjusts like they have for 3 weeks and takes away check downs and makes him throw NFL passes over the middle bbeyond 10 yds and he can't
Michael Lewis
2023-11-08 09:37:17 +0000 UTC
Did you not just listen to him thrax this kid for his inability to drive the football or attack down field or outside the numbers for 3 videos? what makes you think he thinks hes better than Justin? lol he just said "man I hope justin is back next week I can't watch this shit anymore"
Michael Lewis
2023-11-08 09:34:55 +0000 UTC
He won't be coaching Bagent if he shows up bud, did you not here him thrax this kid the entire video? lol Bagent never had a chance to help anything he doesn't have premier arm talent. He is only even playing in chicago because Justin got hurt and this coaching staff is desperately trying to find a way to earn one more year.
Michael Lewis

JT Dj has given up on a lot of routes since Bagent has taken over anything down field he basically jogs.

Wish Bagent could’ve helped Getsys terrible offense out, but here we go again with inconsistent Justin Fields. Getsy needs to go. Bears need to hire JT as our offensive coordinator!!! What you say JT!?

JT still talking like he can't even watch Bagent because of it. Bagent not Mahomes....well with no final take it is disappointing to not hear a point of view on what Bagent has the potential to be. As an UDFA rookie in third game....seems crazy to give up on his potential and would really like to know if that is what JT is doing.

There isn’t anyone in the league like number 15 from KC he defies a lot of Quarterbacking rules and logic. Bagent not Mahomes!

On Chicago Sports radio we keep hearing Bagent doesn’t have the arm strength of a QB1. Do you agree with that? Or is the “bounciness” leading to the inaccuracy on downfield throws and it’s fixable.

Real bummer that you ended the clip without a closing statement regarding Tyson and his potential in the NFL as a starter or back up. To me… FOR MY MONEY… you are extremely harsh on him for his footwork. After the last time you mentioned his bouncing I was watching mahomes KC game and he was bouncing all over the place. Not catching how you can’t be successful with the bounce. Until the fourth he played a solid game and after watching this it is apparent that his game didn’t break down until the drop catch in end zone and penalties, sloppy routes ect ect… if this is his final game and feilds comes back you really owed us a final take on Tyson Bagent. AnD should be a little more unbiased because it seems your over all feelings on the Bears offense would taint that take. Come on. I signed up for your Patreon specifically for Tyson’s analysis and I definitely feel cheated with no final take… just a dismissal of not watching this again.

Man this was all 💩. If Getsy’s idea was to have Bagent start and be his “Brock Purdy” then he failed miserably! No way they don’t go back to Justin when he’s healthy

Great work here. I’ve been having discussion with other Bears fans about this. I think Chicago can win with TB based on his ability to read defenses and get the ball out better than JF1.

Awesome breakdown. As a Bears fan, it's nice to see someone who actually knows what they're talking about detail why this offense is so bad.

Brutal but honest. Bagent being a rookie I expect him to make quite a few mistakes. The lack of execution by the O-Line and the poor scheme forced Bagent to play outside his experience. He played like shit in the 4th quarter but all things considered we had a chance to win or tie the game until the last play. This does shine a better light on why Fields is so inconsistent. If he has to deal with the same lack of execution and poor scheme I don’t know any quarterback that could overcome that consistently.

I’m into the second drive of the Tyson Bagent analysis on Patreon, @theqbschool, and am pausing to say there better be some commentary re: the safest concourse entryways being patrolled by that pair of NO’s finest in blue catching the action just below the scoreboard, or else.

To be fair, watching too much of the Bears try to play football is not good for mental health. You can probably tell interacting with us Bears fans.
