Thank you for being gentle with your choice of words for Justin. Unfortunately, there’s too much of that going on, and the excuses need to stop. I’ve been looking at film breakdowns for years after the games, I must say I trust your perspective more than anyones. The past 2 seasons you’ve told it like it was, I respect that. That being said, it’s clear the film don’t lie… Justin has a major issue with his consistency as a passer. You’re saying his vision might be the problem, maybe it is. But this dude processes information extremely slow and has been doing so since college. It’s not just my opinion, the Director of Player Personnel who was here when Pace drafted both Mitch and Justin admitted it in an interview. I think there’s so many basic passing concepts that are far beyond his mental comprehension, that it’s difficult to build a scheme around him. I can’t see a word where the GM is reviewing film on Monday and isn’t asking the coaching staff questions about Justin, the miscommunications on the o-line, and this wild play calling and conceptual design. It’s a mess, all of it!

It’s only my opinion that fixing the line doesn’t fix Justin optioning off the wrong defender. Turning down wide open receivers. I’d love to have a reasonable o-line performance and reasonable QB. I focus on QB here because this is the QB school.

2023-11-30 22:45:01 +0000 UTCI think Fields shows enough flashes that—if I was the GM—I would trade the #1 for more capital, including a lower pick in this draft, use my high pick on Harrison, my lower park on OL, and then go on from there. OTOH, if I found out they were calling 20 tunnel screens a game because of Fields, then I would move on from him.

2023-11-30 22:20:40 +0000 UTCI’m ready to move on from Fields. 30+ starts in the NFL. Consistently turns down open receivers. If the offense does get built around his ability to run, hes gonna get hurt. Bagent will have to start like 4~5 games a year. I just don’t think this is sustainable.

2023-11-30 06:12:30 +0000 UTCThe tackles routinely let DEs run by them to block a CB/S/LB type - MDM is a concept that this offensive grouping clearly does not understand. Justin doesn't trust the OL, trust his WR group outside of Moore to get open and doesn't trust his own eyes when the OL is shaky. The defense is fuckin hummin right now and I wouldn't trust the HC with a rookie QB so it looks like he might get another year here with an OC tailored around what he does well but IMO this is just a poorly coordinated offense that really might have ruined his time here. Fuckin sucks.

It's tough to have him on your fantasy team this year because of his injury to the lackadaisical offense that was assigned the goal of propelling Justin in a direction of being a qb where he can shush the narrative that he is an "RB" qb and being better thrower. He said it himself, the coaches messed him up. Like sure there is blame on the fields but the coaches aren't putting in a position to win. Not Flus tho, I'm talking about Getsy. Like WTF would we employ the QB Coach from Green Bay!!! He's here to sabotage fields. Were the coaches trying to project fields into turning into Rodgers?? Like what??? (Sorry for the rant lol)

However, I wasn’t a Justin Fields guy until after the Clemson Ohio st game and now when I watch Bears games it’s like it’s not even the same quarterback?? As a Bears fan it’s so frustrating because you see flashes of greatness and then other times it’s blah. I hope a new OC comes in but it worries me him having 3 OC’s in 4 years. Thanks for doing this every week
