2024-10-23 15:30:45 +0000 UTCThe OLine Committee did a film review of this and had an interesting take - that some of the plays where Goff is going immediately to the check down is how the play was drawn up. Looking at it from their protection oriented perspective they said that the Lions were drawing up protection making it look like the HB was going to stay in to pick up the blitz so the Vikings defense didn't account for him, and then having the TE do it instead. So the "check down" wasn't a check down but where the play was designed to go.

JT, is there a reason the vikings didn’t get to a ton of double mug stuff? feel like one of the benefits of those looks is how it helps run support, i’m assuming the condensed formations forced the backers to play further from the LoS but wanted to see if you had any insight
