Excited to watch Caleb the rest of this season with hopefully a competent OC. Just really stings we are not 6-4 or arguably 7-3 if you count the Colts game. 🐻⬇️

2024-11-22 05:37:16 +0000 UTCThis far into the season, how are we still seeing problems with personnel? Waldron had a really tough time with it, but TB seems to be moving in the right direction. Rome should be the X, he should be seeing 7-10 targets per game, DJ is the Z, he looked so much more alive on his screens. Feels wrong to say but Keenan throws off the whole room to me, we need a speed guy for clear outs.. not an aging man-beater, Carter or Scott could easily fill that role. Bears fans love seeing more Roschon, him and swift are excellent compliments.

One question I have after watching the Bears o-line for years vs other teams o-lines is the inside guys can't seem to hold the point of attack in pass pro (even when their starters are in there). I see SO many other guard/center combos across the league set about 1-2 yards from the line of scrimmage. The Bears can't EVER seem to do this. I remember watching New England and how their interior guys almost seemed to attack with their first step even in pass pro. It would give Brady a HUGE pocket. Are different techniques taught in this regard or are the Bears always playing with a dearth of talent?

So yes it needs to be better but you can clearly see him not trying to put full weight on his ankle. Hence the penalty. Maybe you can make the case that he needs to sit out a play then, too. But then if he does that, someone will bitch about that too lol.

Eberlose's 'play not to lose' rather than 'play to win' mentality clearly had a massive effect on Fields, with how Fields got more hesitant and less aggressive with every game and it was obvious he was going to poison Caleb as well. I really didn't think the new OC would be good for Caleb, but it looks like he's telling him 'ignore Eberlose' and that's all that matters. Poles said he never even entertained the idea of even calling Harbaugh. Rumor is Eberlose has a contract through the 2027 season. I wonder if the McCheapskies told him he can't fire Eberlose.
