After all the rough plays, they still should have won the game on that last post. Bryce did everything you want a QB to do on that play, and the receiver didn’t catch it.

Slightly unfair, but coming from watching the Rams and Vikings clinic worthy tape to this was jarring. Not as bad as the Denver tape but not the best showing from the OL and the perimeter group still needs a lot of work. The upside is there but too many nothingburger routes and mental errors. Hope 0 can stay healthy. 30 is earning every cent of his new extension so far.
High leverage play calling seemed awful and while the overall play design wasn't horrendous, gotta think there's plenty of room to improve here too.
Similarly, Young has to clean up the footwork and decision making but he's looking like he belongs if he stays locked in. And if the rumors are true that Tepper is meddling less, this team has a real chance once the personnel and scheme get sorted.
2:10 Adam Thielen lol. There's a local company called Thielen Mechanical whose trucks we see drive around. I, too, am a bit of a recovering asshole so I'll leave the jokes for the Festivus airing of grievances. He has value as a late career route technician and pro's pro/mentor type but his speed threatens nobody with any consistency.
4:10 Jalen Carter is not a normal human. With that said, dudes getting near top of market deals cannot have tape like this consistently. LG, RG, and RT had a tough game. The standing around at 53:00 seemed like a coaching breakdown as opposed to an effort issue.
24:00 reminder to count all the Hanks in the Hank alert overlay.
33:55 nice touch throw by BY. Is Slay slowing down? That runaway seemed a little too open. Maybe this is why they targeted him later.
45:00 Kitty getting worked into the offense.
55:00 Jump throw. To us, seems like a process vs outcome discussion. Even though BY has been getting completions, it doesn't seem super sustainable. I'll eat my words if he can live in this world but it makes me nervous.
1:06:00 Shallow gather. Nice breakdown and context.
1:11:00 Facehugger hold lol. We were just talking about the Aliens franchise over the weekend. Love us some good (and bad) sci fi.
1:12:00 lmao RIP Kitty. Batman was obsessed with my hoodie tassels when we first got him.
2min warning, we're gonna start keeping track of pressures after the 2min. Interesting observation.
1:31:00 Oh shit, we got a tap out Tony over here!
Thanks for the breakdown, JT.

JT, love the channel and the content. I've learned a lot. Q for you: do you believe in "grading" QBs? As a thought experiment, what would get a QB an "A" for a game? 90% of plays executed correctly? 95? 98? Thanks!

It's slow cooker szn over here so got some chipotle coffee beef chili with a ham shank going as we catch up on some ball.
Seems like this team has stabilized a bit since BY has bounced back. Locked in and curious to find out.

Feel like at that inital second and two sanders should have kept running right? He randomly just starts backpedaling, could have been a TD?

I remember after you did the Week 2 full-game recap, which led to Young's benching, you said something like, "I don't know what the hell Dalton is going to do with this scheme."
He had one great game, but you and I felt he was living on the edge with some fortunate completions. Eventually, reality hit.
I've seen your YouTube recaps of Bryce's last few games, which means you've watched them in full. It seems like you've been extremely impressed with his anticipation, and I assumed that coach Canales had made some scheme adjustments to help a ton.
...Then a game like this happens, sans the usually-great O-line getting routinely diced, and it feels closer to a repeat of week 2, where the scheme looks pretty bad and Bryce seems out of sorts.
So my main question is, although you commented on this on a specific play, how do you feel about this overall scheme for Bryce? Does this seem viable for him and maybe better weapons make it pop, or do you think it's not viable long-term?

Kitty heard you were watching some other kitties for 90 minutes and wanted IN.

Can confirm, they did "some fireworks" early and often. Stadium was chattin' about it.

I thought JT would’ve said something about 0 back peddling for that deep ball off the scramble on 2nd and 10 instead of running under it, guess Bryce just missed him

Why wouldn’t they stick with him at this point? Despite JT being nit picky, which is his job, Bryce has played great. Philly has an amazing defense. Probably best in the league - definitely their front is the best, and the Panthers still should have been winning the game with 30 something seconds left. The Panthers are 100% sticking with Bryce.
To help him next year they need to get faster. Everywhere. Would love to see them make a splash for Tee Higgins, or take a guy high in the draft. What we need more than anything are WRs who will challenge the defense, and put a little fear into them. We have nobody like that currently. So, it’ll be interesting see how Dan Morgan and Dave Canales go about building out the offense now that the QB position is settled for the first time in years.

The reason we wanted to go for it on that 3rd and 8th is our kicker has been really bad these past few weeks including the missed up during the game

Watching his tape this year, he's definitely grown but I'm curious what you think the Panthers need to do if they stick with him to succeed? Or what you think would bring about the best out of the kid
