Pre-release for the Bubble Systems video!
Added 2023-06-30 03:57:20 +0000 UTCWell my on-call week came early... I switched with someone to free up the weekend that VCF Southeast falls on. This week has been... Eventful... For that reason this video is shorter than usual. However, at least it's done! Not gonna let 6 evening PROD deployments de-rail my upload schedule! Decided to take a look at some of these post-beige systems, affectionately called bubble systems! I just find that weird, short-lived era of translucent plastic fascinating. Hope you like it!

That purple Presario is one of the PCs my family had growing up. Our config had a Celeron, and we shoved a GeForce FX 5200 in there. I remember spending my own money (which was a big deal as a child, of course) and buying the Windows XP upgrade the day it released and that was the computer that got it. Lots of great memories. I'd love to own one again someday.

2023-07-08 13:53:03 +0000 UTCI didn't realize "send it" had become an Internet term. I know it from climbing, meaning to do a climb perfectly the first time. Though "on sight" and "flash" are used to mean the same thing. Also, "pinch its cheeks" gave me a good snort and the other terrible jokes too ๐
