Pre-release for the iMac G4 video
Added 2023-12-01 07:11:24 +0000 UTCWell, these systems are a different breed indeed... I decided it's time to stop overlooking them and check them out. I'm not the most highly experienced with Macs of this era. The deepest I've ever been into the Mac world was working on the Performa 575 machines in grade school. I do own a 2012 MacBook Pro which I bought about 8 years ago to do iOS development, but never so much as re-installed the OS on it...
Sorry it took an extra week. Decided to do family stuff for the long holiday weekend. Plus these machines are pretty tricky... I can't believe only two systems produced nearly an hour-long video! Sure wish I could generate that much content with PCs!

The weird plastic item on the back of the screen in the first iMac is in fact an iSight mount. iSight being a FireWire webcam from yesteryear

2023-12-04 17:20:16 +0000 UTCHey Mike. The „white sticky paper“ on the hard drive was put there for purely cosmetic reasons. If you looked down from the top of the dome through the vent holes you would see the text on the hard drive. But with the white sticker all you see is white :)
