This has me quite excited so I just had to share. What's more unusual than getting nostalgic for eMachines? The popularity of the video! It is officially my most-successful video in terms of performance in the first 24 hours. My benchmark for a good first-day view count is about 10k, and this video did 13.7k. It also pulled in 69 new subscribers in that period (now 74). That's also higher than normal. It would probably have done even better if it were a Saturday morning release. It's always the ones you least expect... That beat the previous record-holder for first-day performance, which was the one with the Medion Aldi PC ( https://youtu.be/nny4ZRkwuo8 ). That did 12.5k on the first day. People really like these early-mid 2000's systems it seems. Gateway videos also seem to consistently beat the benchmark. I guess there's something to be said about the sheer number of people who have fond memories of these ubiquitous machines.
The graph screenshot shows the first 24 hours, with the grey section representing the channel average range. The 'Top Recent Videos' screenshot is a comparison of this video's performance to the top ten best performers as of just a few minutes ago (which I guess the Medion video aged out of).
Who would have ever guessed...
