Pre-release: 2000's system with windows! No, not those Windows...

Decided to conquer some curiosity and explore a system with some quintessential 2000's design elements. A window into its soul! Or guts maybe... This was originally supposed to be a two-system video, but I decided last night that it's best to finally make a release instead of worrying about video length. It's been un-survivably hot in the garage over the last month, severely limiting the amount of time I can stand to be out there. July thru September is this area's worst time period for heat. I'm still nowhere near getting climate control in there... Catty was not harmed in the shooting of those pictures. Even she isn't about this heat...

I have the video of the second system about 25% shot already, but not edited. Hoping it will be done by next week. After that, I need to get back to some early '90s systems. There's a 486 that's been calling my name...

Hope you like it! https://youtu.be/DC-EZqMIerI

It's been almost a month, hope Mike is okay!

If you want to make that garage a more livable workspace, there's a ton of mini splits that are specifically designed for DIY install but they're definitely on the low quality side and replacement parts are nonexistent. The name brands (Mitsubishi, Daikin, LG, etc.) are better built and have parts available but they require a licensed contractor to install if you want a warranty. In either case, you could relatively easily install one in a weekend and they work great. My house is all Mitsubishi and they've been fantastic for both heating and cooling.
