Cohen's Fate - Playtesting News!

I'm happy to say that Cohen's Fate has reached the Playtesting phase! Today I had some close friends attempt to run through the game and for as far as they got, results are very promising. However, they did encounter a few game breaking Networking bugs that desperately need to be fixed. Once I'm certain I've fixed all the game breaking bugs, I plan on making another announcement to ask for playtesting volunteers on discord!

However, there is a big issue. The game is very intricate and potentially very long depending on how quickly people figure things out (estimating 2-3 hours for false ending, 5-7 hours for true ending, ??? hours for ???). There's no way I'll have enough time to watch 100 people play through the game fully in order to find all the bugs. So playtesting may have to be a bit different this time around.

Here's my current plan. Playtesting will occur in 3 phases.

1st phase is having my close friends find all the game breaking bugs.

2nd phase will be asking a few groups of individuals to play through as much of the game as possible with me watching so I can make adjustments to the game.

3rd Phase I'm planning on making an "Open Playtest", where whoever signs up will gain access to the world for 48 hours that they can play through on their own pace and report bugs and feedback.

I've been working on "Cohen's Fate" full time for... Checks Calendar Over a year!!! I vastly underestimated how much work this world was going to be. Thank you all for your patience!

I'm hoping to have all the game breaking bugs fixed by next week, but no guarantees. Once they're fixed I'll make another announcement asking for Volunteers that are available for specific time slots. (First come, first served)

Also if any Patrons have interest in playtesting with a group of friends, let me know in the ⁠patron-general chat on discord and I'll make sure I schedule you in for playtesting.
