Added 2025-03-14 21:00:05 +0000 UTCShe's back! sorta. Her design is based on the Japanese Z. Mission Ad. Ever since I saw that ad, I've always planned on drawing that iteration of Sammy. Furthermore, it was a nice breath of fresh air and I may have discovered some new tech while working on this piece.
Finished this piece faster than expected! I do have to admit, piece 1 was easy because I looked at a reference with a similar pose (leg wise). Piece 2 was also easy because it built upon the first piece. I also had fun drawing the booty. Overall, these pieces are a perfect representation of my mood this month and I hope this streak continues among my other artworks.

I thought the ads were lost media until I found them. Apparently, the model was popular that time so it was archived. Zero Mission is part of my top 3, I liked that it's a bit for a remake from the first game with the addition of the Zero Suit sequence.

2025-03-15 00:47:37 +0000 UTCI wasn't aware of these ads until now! Very cool renditions. Zero Mission was my favorite 2D Metroid for a long time, but the Zero Suit sequence wears thin on me now, mainly because it's so long, but it's a great concept and getting the fully-powered suit at the end is a treat, and that cutscene is amazing.
