As a Ms Marvel mega fan since the series, I saw this mostly as a Ms Marvel movie, and GOSH I loved it. The Khan family causing chaos for Fury, Kamala being the bestest pure bean of the MCU, the way she felt SO at home on that singing planet, her just hugging Monica at the perfect time… I love her so much. We need more of her! Oh, and how she surprisingly worked SO WELL with Fury in that fight in the elevator! And that smile Fury had at the end! YES! Also, yes, we only saw her talking to Kate, but… she mentioned Cassie… Cassie as the brain, Kamala as the heart, Kate as… the unpowered one! (I jest I jest… XD ) But yeah. I loved that movie, and Kamala and her family was just perfect, and yes, we need less orphan (male adults) heroes, it’s way too common, as She-Hulk pointed out. XD

Carol is responsible for destroying the Supreme Intelligence, which it is implied stopped the murder of refugee races (ie. the Skrulls) and possibly the experimentation on other sentience races (eg. inhumans). That a mature advanced race whose empire spanned a quarter of the galaxy would immediately choose to start a horrific civil war is entirely on them. The US has had multiple assassinations of presidents, and the country moved on. I hate the lazy blame like this, which I find is applied severely on women (who have also been wrongly taught to accept the guilt and often suffer alone in silence for it). And no need to justify not accepting this blame to anyone, let the critics figure it out for themselves. That being said, Monica recommending Carol try to repair their sun was 100% on point. It should be done here because Carol has the ability to do it and help the suffering on the planet, not out of an incorrect sense of guilt. The rest of this movie was AWESOME!!
