Writing Updates!

Dragoncon is happening soon! 

If you're going, let me know. I'll be happy to meet you guys.  Looking at the information, I'll probably be doing a bunch of writing talks, so if you can't find me, I'll probably be at one of those. 

Writing Status & tentative Schedule

I'll finally be done traveling in 2 weeks. That means I'll actually get some words down, more than the 15k or so I've done in the month of August. Hopefully with the few thousand I hope to get done in the next few weeks, that means that Rebel Star's first draft will be done by end of September. 

Give it a few weeks to cook, mid-end October for editing first draft. That puts us at around Nov for the editing. That'll be about a month, so tentatively, we're looking at either Dec 1 or Jan 1 for release depending on how long editing takes. Generally about 3 weeks, so I think it's more likely for a January release date.

In the meantime, during the October break, I'll catch up on the remainder reading I have set aside for book 3 of a Thousand Li and write (hopefully all) of Hidden Wishes 3. That'll close up the trilogy there, and have it available for December I believe for editing, so that should be good to release Feb.

After the Hidden Wishes book, we should be good to start First War for Nov/Dec writing. And then, we'll probably be back to finishing up either a quick book (i.e. AoB 7) or I might dip right into Book 9 of the System Apocalypse series, finishing out this arc.

In the meantime, the anthology is coming along nicely. Just received 1 really cool story which means that I have enough to release (if said person is willing to take edits/changes and requested revisions). 

I will still be taking story submissions.  

Even if the story doesn't get into book 1 of the anthology series, I think it's been enough fun that I want to keep going with the anthologies. So I'll just continue gathering stories (and yes, paying for them). If book 1 releases well enough, and there's enough demand for specific characters, I'll also look at inviting authors back to continue their stories in one form or another. 

Release Schedule

As you can see from above, what that means for releases is that there's not going to be any new (ebook) releases after September 1 for the new Adventures on Brad book. 

Normally, I'd have something for November or December, but all my traveling and the anthology has eaten badly into writing time.  If things go well, it's possible that I might be able to release the anthology in November of this year since most of the stories are edited (barring one that needs a reworking and one pending acceptance). I also have to edit the entire thing and put it together properly, so November is likely the earliest we'll see the book.

However, audiobook wise, we should see:

- book 2 of a Thousand Li in the next month or so.

- book 6 of the Adventures of Brad (anytime now, it's just pending approval!)

- book 6 of the System Apocalypse (recording mid-September), release... late October?

- book 7 recording of the System Apocalypse in December. So release January.
