It warms my heart to see we’re not alone on this journey of acceptance. Let’s keep trying to normalize aid tools. Yesterday I went out with my friends and for the first time used my cane on a night party. It was a bit uncomfortable but it ended very well!

2022-08-09 23:56:37 +0000 UTCAHHH, I completely understand and get this. I just this month not only accepted a disability I have had for quite a long time. One of the things I needed is a cane to use on occasions and learning to slow down and sit more. Buying the cane was so hard for me to do, even though I don't need it daily. Knowing I need it on some days made me scared that I'll get worse sooner. I'm still working on my confidence with it, but my found family has been crazy supportive to me about it.
