Bombastic Intro

Hey guys! Happy Friday once again!

Here's a track that I intended for a long time to be an intro of sorts. I'm actually considering using it for my upcoming EP / Mini-album! For this track, I actually had a good college friend of mine record a guitar solo for me before the pandemic started. I remember it being a lot of fun hanging out and working with another musician in person like that and it's one of the things I miss the most as a result of what's been going on.

Funny story, we were actually hanging out in our music theory class learning about 6/8 time signatures and I decided I wanted to test it out on a track, and he wanted to try soloing on it. It was a really spontaneous collaboration; he had his guitar, I had my audio interface (if I had an idea at school, I could take out my bass and record it right then and there). It was a lot of fun!

I should also mention the cover art. This is a piece my friend zSloth drew that I considered making music to for a long time. it features his characters and his world, which is something that was hinted at on the Komoroko album cover. I should also mention that yeah, Merebun isn't on this one. I started to notice my trend of album covers with Merebun just sitting there and not doing much else and wanted to try something a little different... Let me know what you guys think of this idea!

Final note is that this is all temporary! The title, the new cover, it's all a work in progress. I'm still figuring out the exact vibe for my next EP, and who I want to release it with, that sort of thing. I might end up changing the title and cover, but we'll see!
