Silverella - Moment of Our Life (Mere Remix)

I decided to post the weekly track a few hours early! I'll be going on a trip tomorrow and will be away from my computer for the next 3 days, so I figured I'd get this up for you guys now. (Technically it's only two hours until it's technically Friday over here anyway!)
Today I'm hitting ya with a remix I made after Alan, the owner of the record label Coraspect (known for releasing Remember by Ev.exi and Contrast by Pad Chennington) contacted me! I was invited to contribute to a remix contest for the track "Moment of Our Life" off the album of the same name, by an artist I haven't heard of at the time called Silverella.

I tried hard to make something unique for the contest, with the usual chops at first but then an odd time signature change midway through! At the time I made the track, I was a bit new to working on songs in anything other than a 4/4 time signature, so this was a bit of a new experiment for me. Unfortunately, that gimmick didn't lead to me winning the contest in the end. I still feel good about the track though!
This remix actually motivated me into working on Cool Song v2 off of Sample Heaven later on, since I wanted to revisit the idea of making tracks in odd time signatures! I believe at one point I also considered adding this track to my Black One compilation, but I decided against it because of the fact that it was a remix, and those can be a bit of a pain to set up for a solo release. So this track will most likely stay unreleased properly forever, outside of this post here. I hope you guys enjoy it!
