Update 4/14/21!

Hey everyone!
I haven't written an update in a while, due to being slammed with work and school. Well, as I mentioned in my last update, I actually recently quit my day job! All the time I used to spend at work I can use to keep you guys up to date instead. So I'll let you guys in on what I've been up to and my future plans!
I haven't announced these plans anywhere else, so you'll be getting the inside scoop first!

Future Plans:
Last Night!
I'll be going through my upcoming releases in order by release date, which brings us to Last Night! I've mentioned this track a lot here already, so I'll just leave you guys with the release date and final cover art! I just submitted this track to distribution services to go live at noon on May 1st! I hope to get some merch to go with the release, but honestly I've been having some difficulty getting the cover made into a poster like I originally intended (the aspect ratio on the full version of this picture is a bit odd). If you guys have any other ideas for merch let me know! Though I might just go ahead with editing the picture to suit a poster a bit more.

Ev.exi Collab:
We do have a rough release date for this track! I want to keep it on the down low for now, in case we decide to move it at all. But I'll just say: mid-May is what we're shooting for! Ev. actually edited the track I shared with you guys last week (I assumed that was the final version) so the final version will be slightly, very slightly different. I believe the bass was just edited to be slightly groovier? Stay tuned for that!

Notilde Tapes Compilation 2: Music For Streaming
Finally, we're currently working on the next Notilde Tapes compilation! We're aiming for a late May release, but we might also go with early June depending on when everyone gets their tracks in. The focus of this compilation is to provide a collection of songs that can be used as background music for streaming!

This project came about when me and a couple of friends started getting messages from a couple of streamers about licensing our music for their streams. We also were seeing in the news at the time that Twitch was becoming a bit more strict with the music that was allowed on their streams. Personally, I've been to streams that were taken down abruptly due to copyright claims on the music used.

As a result, we're currently gathering tracks from the Notilde Tapes crew of songs made up of original instrumentation (minimal samples!) in order to adhere to the Twitch guidelines. So far we have a track from Plekter, Chance De La Soul, and I've prepared a track too! You guys will be hearing my track this Friday, a whole month early!
