Mélonade - Heat (MFS) [Lossless]

Hey Rotti patrons!
Glad to finally have another exclusive post up for you guys, it's been a while! Here's Mélonade's new compilation track in lossless! I wrote a lot for the MP3 post for this track, so I think I'll just share that info here. Here's a bit of backstory into the thought process behind curating these tracks!

When I gave out the original prompt for the kinds of tracks I was  looking for on this compilation, the requirement of having less of a  reliance on samples than usual was a bit of a gamble. Most of the  artists on the Notilde Tapes roster are known for their sample  manipulation and mastery of everything plunderphonics. Still, for the  sake of having some nice, copyright-free tunes for streaming use, I  thought it was an important thing to try!

I didn't really know  what to expect with the results as each artist got to work, but I was  really pleasantly surprised as the tracks started rolling in! Due to the  limitation, the music on this compilation is actually pretty varied, as  opposed to the first Notilde Tapes compilation (which was awesome, but  mostly consisted of pure Future Funk goodness)! You can really hear each  artist try something new on this tape, which I think is really special!

Mélonade's  track is a great example of this, and a lot of artists on the roster  have gone out of their way to congratulate him as we've begun sharing  the compilation around! The chill guitar work and vocals would work  great as a backdrop to any stream, I'd imagine. Not all of the tracks on  the tape are this calm (we do have a few bangers!) but Mélonade really filled the spot nicely in my opinion!

I hope that was interesting! I plan to have each Notilde Tapes compilation feature its own quirk, just to keep every release fresh and interesting for the artists and listeners. For example, I'm considering maybe doing a lofi compilation, maybe a house compilation, just some ideas! If you guys have any ideas for future compilations of your own, please feel free to leave a comment! Alongside these themed compilations, I also wouldn't mind having some free-for-all comps where anything goes.
