Chapter 2 - New life in God of War

"OK, better eat before training hahaha... haaa," he said jokingly, though with a sigh at the end as he realized he was talking to himself. It seemed easier to feel lonely in this place, even though in his old world, he could spend long periods alone. Maybe it was because, back there, being alone was his choice, whereas here, he had no other option.

"Chamber, give me a five-star hotel feast like the ones from my old planet," he said to the air.

He could have wished for the best banquet the chamber had, but he preferred to enjoy things little by little before eating the finest delicacies. That way, the experience would be more fulfilling.

There were probably even 'food wars' level banquets in the chamber, which is why he specified a five-star hotel from his old world instead of hotels spanning all of existence.

Soon, a table manifested in front of him, and he feasted. There were thousands of dishes, and he tasted a few. Any dish he didn't like, he ordered the chamber to remove. After eating to his satisfaction, he had probably consumed not even one-hundredth of the available dishes.

"That was the most delicious meal I've ever had, though some dishes were very strange. Probably a difference in cultures... or maybe the rich are just different," he analyzed.

"OK, I've controlled myself enough. I really want to train in this chamber. My dreams are finally coming true," he said, trembling with excitement.

"Ohhhh, before that, chamber, what is the current time flow rate?" he asked.

[It is in accordance with the time flow of the outside world,] the chamber responded with words appearing in front of him.

"Hmm, please set it so that one second outside equals one year inside," he said.

He imagined that there might be beings capable of traveling during frozen time or perceiving time stoppages. So, setting the time flow this way ensured that everything inside the chamber progressed extremely fast while the outside world remained unaware.

Of course, he was just being cautious. He didn't truly understand how time worked, so he asked the chamber, and it confirmed that he was correct. Even if such beings didn't exist in this world, it was better to maintain a cautious profile.

"Now I believe everything is finally in order, and I can train to my heart's content," he said.

"How do I do this? The chamber doesn’t provide any training methods… Well, with 100,000 times the training speed, even without specific methods, for low-level things like punches and kicks, it shouldn’t be too difficult," he pondered.

Then, he positioned himself as he thought a fighter would and threw a simple punch forward. When he did, he felt as if he had punched 100,000 times instead of just once. He sensed the mistakes in his punch, his incorrect stance, and even slight improvements in his physical conditioning, especially in his arms.

So, he repositioned himself in a much better stance and punched again. The same process repeated, but this time, he took a few extra minutes to analyze his mistakes and figure out how to improve.

Then he punched again.

And again.

And again.

By his ninth punch, he had already spent 12 hours since he started punching.

With each punch, he took longer to reflect.

Remember, his ninth punch wasn't that of an ordinary person—it was 100,000 punches from someone who had analyzed and trained through 100,000 punches, from someone who had trained and analyzed through 100,000 punches… and so on.

Throwing so many punches brought a significant transformation to his body, which was now extremely fit. Bandages were tightly wrapped around his arms to prevent his muscles from bulging too much—something he had requested from the chamber. His stance was now that of a true fighter.

"OK, with this ninth punch, I’ll take some time to process and see where I can improve. But probably not by much since I’m very close to the human limit. I’d need to add some kind of energy or magic to my punches to advance further," he said, extremely calm—quite unlike what one would expect from a regular guy who had just become a champion in only 12 hours and nine punches.

But the chamber had been perfecting everything, including his understanding and discipline. While he was punching and analyzing, the 100,000 times training boost was also enhancing these aspects. He had become calmer, more disciplined, and his comprehension had skyrocketed.

"I’ll refine my punches over time. For now, let’s try some kicks," he said, taking position and kicking the air.

Almost without stopping, he kicked again.

And again.

And again.

It wasn’t until his fifth kick that he paused to reflect. The previous kicks he had analyzed extremely quickly, proving how monstrous his comprehension had become in such a short time.

Then, with just two more hours, he delivered his ninth kick.

Growl!

Just as he was about to move on to footwork training, his stomach begged for food.

He smiled wryly and said,

"Looks like I got too absorbed in training. I’d better eat and rest a bit. All this training has helped me understand the human body better, and rest is very important. Even though I’m not physically exhausted, my mind is killing me after so much analysis."

"Chamber, create the most luxurious and comfortable room based on the peak standards of my old world. Also, classify the peak things from my previous life as five stars, and rank everything else by stars. That way, if I request a six-star feast or accommodations, it will be one level higher than what I had in my past life," he ordered the chamber.

[Done,] the chamber responded with its robotic, emotionless voice.

Soon, he saw a building appear in front of him. From the outside, it was just a plain white structure with nothing but a door.

Curious, he walked inside.

His eyes widened at what he saw—he had never seen so much gold and so many precious gems, not even on the internet. It was simply absurd.

Even the floor had a carpet that was incredibly comfortable—probably sleeping on the floor would be far more comfortable than sleeping in his old bed.
