"Well, Kratos and I decided to let you add her as a wife if you wanted. We liked her in the game, but we resented that she couldn't give everything to you since she already gave it to Odin. But now that we know about your past plans, it's no problem," said Faye.
"Uhmm, I don't mind adding her, but why should we?" asked Hyperion, confused.
"You like her, and we liked her personality in the game and think she deserves to be happy," said Kratos, looking into Hyperion's eyes.
"I understand, my little fire," said Hyperion affectionately to Kratos.
Then they continued exploring Midgard, searching for the place where Freya lived.
They thought about going to the best place in Midgard, where, according to the game, was Kratos and Atreus' house. But when they realized how vast the world was compared to the game, the landmarks got lost, so they decided to explore!
They decided to return to doing what they had been doing before, exploring Midgard, but this time, searching for Freya. If they found the spot where Kratos' house was in the game, they agreed to build a house there and use it as a reference point to find Freya.
"Hey, Hyperion, did you make Little White like that to match her with Fenrir? Or did you think about turning her into a girl and staying with her?" Faye asked mischievously.
"Cough cough Fenrir, Fenrir is the answer," Hyperion coughed and quickly replied, a little sweat on his forehead.
"You have a guilty mentality," Kratos said with an emotionless look.
"I don't know what you're talking about!" Hyperion said seriously.
The girls rolled their eyes at that.
Well, the truth is he did have a guilty mentality. He had indeed thought about doing that at the time, but later he found out that Little White had even had puppies, and well, he didn’t want to steal another Wolfbro’s woman.
"Hey, is that a barrier?" Faye asked, changing the subject while pointing ahead.
"Well, that looks like the place we’re looking for," Hyperion said.
"Little White, take it easy, don't scare her," Hyperion commanded.
"I find it hard not to get scared when a wolf this size with such a strong aura enters your property, even if it’s someone like Freya," Faye said.
"Well, maybe she’s heard about our reputation in Midgard and won’t be too cautious," Hyperion shrugged.
"She's here!" Kratos said calmly.
"This property has an owner! What are you doing here?" Freya, who appeared in front of them, asked, sword drawn and full of caution.
"We’re looking for you, Freya," Hyperion said.
Faye rolled her eyes when she heard this.
"Congratulations on making her even more cautious with us," she said, teasing.
Hyperion just laughed.
"We came to help you," Kratos said with purpose.
Freya furrowed her brows, and a bit of anger appeared in her eyes when reminded of her situation.
"There’s nothing you can help me with, leave," Freya said, neither cold nor warm.
"We can break Odin’s shackles," Hyperion said.
"Break Baldur’s fate," Faye said.
"Help the Vanir," Kratos finished.
When Freya heard what they said, she didn’t believe it. On the contrary, she got angry. She thought they were just fools trying to go against Odin, and nothing good would come from it.
"I don’t need your help, get out of my house," Freya said coldly.
She had her own plans and didn’t want them to ruin her already tiny chances.
"Well, how about a bet? You pick one of us three to fight, if you don’t lose in a crushing way, we’ll leave and even owe you a wish. But if you lose in a desperate way, you come on an adventure with us in Midgard, and if you fall in love with me, you have to accept being a sister-wife with them," Hyperion said with a sly grin.
"So that was your goal all along," Freya said coldly and mockingly.
"Well, actually yes and no, it was more that we wanted to help you. In the future, you’ll understand," Faye said.
"Hmph, I don’t need anyone’s pity. I would accept this damn bet if I could fight, but my ex-husband cast a curse that prevents me from hurting any being," Freya replied.
In Freya’s mind, it was impossible to lose so bitterly; not even Odin could defeat her this way. And since they were confident, their strength couldn’t be bad. Plus, with their giant wolf the size of Garm, such allies could be useful in her plans, if they could be trusted.
Unfortunately, she was cursed.
"Don’t worry, Odin is just trash in front of us! Choose who you’ll fight, and I’ll take care of the curse," Hyperion said cheerfully, after all, this game was in the bag.
"HA," Freya scoffed, not taking Hyperion seriously.
But Hyperion didn’t care about her mockery and just snapped his fingers.
Immediately, Freya’s face grew serious, and her pupils dilated. She felt the damn curse that prevented her from hurting living beings break.
"Now choose," Hyperion said with a smile.
Freya calmed her heart, and after thinking for a bit, weighing the pros and cons of accepting the bet, she made her decision.
"Her!" Freya pointed to Faye. It seemed like she decided to play it safe, after all, Faye was the one with the least sense of threat.
And she was right. Faye was indeed the weakest of the three of them, but that was compared to the three of them; she was still very strong.
Soon, they positioned themselves on one side while I, Kratos, and Nymeria watched from afar.
Faye and Freya stared at each other for a while, then Freya drew her sword and charged.
Faye didn’t even unsheath her axe and ran toward Freya.
Freya got furious when she saw that her opponent didn’t even draw her weapon. As the former Valkyrie Queen, she had never been so underestimated before.
Freya swung with her sword while Faye raised her palm and struck the blade, redirecting it.
She then landed a punch in Freya’s stomach, sending her flying.
Freya vomited some saliva as she knelt on the ground.
"I didn’t even use much force, Freya, give up, we won’t force you to do anything, just travel with us, and in exchange, we’ll help you with many things in due time," Faye persuaded.
