Chapter 13 - New Life in God of War
Added 2025-03-08 05:55:58 +0000 UTCAt this moment, Freya was in a panic inside. She wasn't ready to come to Alfheim so quickly. She had long ago received the promise from Hyperion that the curse that kept her tied to Midgard wouldn't affect her with him preventing it, but when she entered Alfheim, she was still a bit panicked, afraid of being dragged back to Midgard and not being able to adventure with her beloved and her friends, who were now almost like sisters. She feared going back to that turtle shell of a house, alone, counting the seconds but still losing track of time in the loneliness.
But soon, she let out an internal sigh of relief when she felt that the curse that held her was not working.
"Well, shall we stay in this sandstorm and wait for our kids to fix this too?" Faye, who hadn’t noticed Freya’s internal dilemma, asked, not liking how everything seemed dead under the sandstorm.
"Well, I was thinking of taking the kids on the campaign, and we can do the subquests ourselves." Hyperion said, joking.
The girls laughed at this, except for Freya, who hadn’t understood what they were talking about.
"Are you not going to explain?" Freya asked with an eyebrow raised.
"Only when you join the group." Faye joked, referring to the relationship.
Freya rolled her eyes, but in her heart, she started to realize that she had a bigger status difference than she thought in the heart of this group.
Unintentionally, Faye’s words led Freya to more seriously consider the deal with Hyperion.
"Nymeria, take us to the source of this distress signal." Hyperion ordered.
Soon, a giant wolf was running through the deserts of Alfheim.
The girls understood that Hyperion was talking about the Hafgufa asking for help, trapped in the hives under the earth.
Freya was confused; after all, she hadn't heard anything, but she trusted Hyperion, so she just enjoyed the journey... at least what could be enjoyed in a sandstorm.
Soon, they reached the mouth of a cave.
The four dismounted Nymeria and entered the cave.
Nymeria stayed outside, whining because the sandstorm was stinging her.
The four left her alone, after all, she was just being spoiled, since even if it were a storm of bullets, she wouldn't care.
"That wolf is sometimes as spoiled as the owner haha!" Faye mocked Hyperion.
"I agree," Kratos said with a slight smile.
"Humph, in my opinion, she is as spoiled as the owners, and it's this poor miserable one who keeps pampering his princesses!" Hyperion defended himself with a fair and unjust face.
The girls just laughed, including Freya, as she too was spoiled by Hyperion.
"Well, we pay for their pampering in the bedroom at night, that's when we suffer." Faye said mischievously, referring to the things that happen under the sheets... and on top... and by the side... and outside them... in the living room... in the kitchen... well, you get it.
Freya’s face turned slightly red, after all, it had been a long time since she had been intimate with someone, and they were talking about something she would probably also experience in the future if she agreed with Hyperion.
And surprisingly, Kratos was the one with the reddest face. In fact, it was during the night with Hyperion that she found out what a real god of war is.
"Heh, you talk like you don’t like it." Hyperion teased.
"I never said that." Faye winked at Hyperion, who rolled his eyes in amusement.
"Enemies ahead!" Kratos decided to break the topic, after all, Freya was a little embarrassed.
15 dark elves appeared ahead.
"AAARR" Kratos jumped, spinning her body and letting out her warrior's cry as the Chaos Blades spun with flames, decapitating 10 elves.
"Hey, you’re overdoing it, leave a little for us too!!" Hyperion shouted when he saw she left only 5 elves alive. Normally, they take it easy and take a while to kill enemies, but Kratos, out of embarrassment, directly decapitated 10 elves... well, actually, she held back, otherwise, the other 5 elves would have died with that blow as well.
"Humph, you're too slow." Kratos mocked, now having composed herself a little.
Hyperion just shook his head with a bitter smile.
Soon the fight continued.
After defeating the enemies and collecting the spoils, Freya looked at Hyperion and Kratos and thought of something.
"Now that I think about it, I don’t remember Kratos pronouncing Hyperion’s name..." Freya tilted her head and put a finger on her cheek, thinking as she said this.
"Ohhh, Kratos is very stoic, so she doesn't speak much, but she calls my name a lot at night, sometimes even shouting..." Hyperion said with playful eyes and a mischievous smile.
"HYPERION" Kratos shouted, with anger and embarrassment on her red face.
"Well, now you’ve seen... owwwhou, calm down little flame, it was a joke, though I wasn’t lying... HEY, you almost hit me!!" Hyperion was saying to Freya, but then he had to dodge a Chaos Blade aimed at his face, and when he explained to Kratos, she became even angrier and chased him swinging her swords.
After many dodges and jumps, Hyperion approached Kratos, disarmed her, and hugged her from behind. After avoiding some headbutts and foot stomps, he managed to calm her down with words of love and making some promises in her ears.
Soon, he returned to Freya and Faye, hand in hand with his beautiful and now calm goddess of war.
Their adventures continued, Kratos' blades were used to burn, Freya’s arrows as fuel, and Faye’s axe to hit things from a distance, just like in the game.
And about Hyperion... well, he killed monsters... which the girls also did, so he was teased as the most useless by the girls.
In fact, all of them could do these things alone, but the adventure was more fun working as a team.
After 2 hours of exploration, they arrived at the place where the Hafgufa was trapped.
"What a beautiful creature... she’s even more beautiful in real life." Faye admired.
