Poll 1 - Female Avatar

Alright folks, this poll is here to give us a better idea of how people feel about this topic. I’ve seen a lot of interesting ideas, many of them quite creative.

Although I might not necessarily follow the poll winner, there is still a good chance I will. After all, I have already imagined the plot for different decisions, and the female avatars, besides bringing some humorous scenes and a sense of balance to the sect, will not cause such drastic changes to the story. So whatever is decided will not have a very big impact.

I will list the current options below and if you want to suggest more, feel free to do so. The poll is going up now, but the actual appearance of female avatars in the story will still take a few chapters.

But before that, let me share a bit of my own opinion.

Some ideas are great, especially if this were real life. But since this is a story, there are a few no-nos that are common standards and often discourage most readers. I cannot break these rules.

Here are the no-nos:

Revealing the system or anything from the protagonist’s past life. This information cannot be revealed unless it is in the last chapters of the story when it no longer matters.

Sharing the system. This idea is really good because Aotian can completely trust Rihai and it would be a great option. But as I said, sharing the system is very discouraging for readers because it is what makes the protagonist unique. So, even if Aotian considers it, as the author I would have the system refuse that possibility. The golden finger has to stay in the main character’s hand. In real life, I would consider it, but as a reader, I would be a bit disappointed to read it.

Another point that I think would be a no-no is allowing the avatars to have autonomous consciousness. This would go somewhat against the whole concept of the story.

There would also be a real possibility that the female avatars, if given consciousness, would develop feelings for the male avatars. Aotian would experience firsthand, through shared perspective, what it would be like to fall in love with himself, which is kind of bizarre. Alternatively, I could simply make them puppets without feelings of love, but I still think either of these options would be a bit boring.
