“Put You Down” Studio Recording BTS

Today I wanted to share some behind the scenes clips of me in the booth recording “Put You Down,” the song I got to sing for the EVO 2024 soundtrack!It was a lot of fun getting to do something so chill, dark, and techno pop-y. Most of the time, people hire me to sing blood-curdling, ruthlessly high belting notes, which can be fun don’t get me wrong, but I do love me a change of pace! So I did what was asked and channeled my inner Billie Eilish, while still trying to make it my own. You’ll hear a very rough, incomplete demo at the end, but it shows you a lot more of the isolated vocal stacks I recorded to really give it that Billie Eillish/Finneas feel. I think the combo of a sultry, calm, and domineering vocal like this and a game about cool vampire creatures is a match made in heaven. I hope you liked the song and that you checked out the whole soundtrack!
