I wonder who first came up with the spinning bubbles around a drunk or stunned character's head. It's a fine tradition.
Ren is mad because he thinks Stimpy is making up names of kids in their audience that don't exist but Stimpy swears they are real.
In the meantime I've been experimenting a bit with some semi abstract Ren and Stimpy paintings. I'm trying to come up with some new rougher paint techniques. Here's my first stab at it.
I'll show you some more in my next post.

Say, Johnny, good to have you back! Say, nicer job on your Ren Höek and Stimpy illustrations! And nicest job going full-blown Picasso on your digi-painting. You know, about the toon popping bubbles, I think that might’ve came from some of the Golden-Age comic strips like The Katzenjammer Kids and/or Mutt and Jeff. All in all, please push yourself mostly forward.
