Hello one, hello all, it's been quite a while. I spent the early parts of this year deep in the vortex of starting an independent game studio, but for the last three months I've been working steadily on a good old-fashioned Deltarune video. My biggest video yet, in fact, and in some ways the most technically ambitious.
What's the topic? Gaster's theme. That's it. I made a 50 minute video analyzing where Gaster's theme might be infiltrating Deltarune's soundtrack. That includes both critiquing previous work on the topic, such as from MediaMotifs' 2019 video, and my own original analysis of the chapter 2 soundtrack. It's also just an excuse for me to go on long nerdy tangents about music theory in my usual shitposty style- did I mention I was into music? I'm kind of into music.
As usual, I've uploaded a Patreon-exclusive preview cut for you all to enjoy while I finish up editing the credits and other fiddly stuff. Also, an important notice: following this video's release, I'm once again going back into the gamedev dimension for the near future. RAM's development, like a weird, digital infant, demands my constant involvement, and so most of my time over the summer will be devoted to it. Expect the next video I upload to be a devlog, and as always feel free to modify your pledges in light of that information.
Until next time, thank you all for your support.
