June 1st Weekly Update

Put a lot of work in, and was able to get a new build out this week! There were a few things I wanted to add, but just didn't get done, but they were pretty minor, and the important things are in.

This week I was able to get a lot of last minute animation work, and new animations and cut scenes into the game.

Cut scenes are still something new to me, so they're gonna be a bit awkwardand maybe not perfectly cut, but I've taking notes and I think each one will be better than the last!

I'm hitting a point where I think its fair to work less on more creatures (although I do have a few more I want to add right away) and more on other less time intensive elements!

I'm also learning more about making tools to help make things go faster, and I hope I can start to speed up more and more.

I've also found the deadline of a build does help me work harder, and while I can generally do enough to justify monthly builds, I might start doing something build related monthly, with the big builds every 3 months or so. I'm still working out what I want to do that's gonna be worth your time and motivate me effectively.

hay, played the game just a little more and found a few more things that may need fixing. i also wonted to give you more information on the movement trouble i had. instead of just saying is hard to control and speed. first, the throw mechanic. its looks like it needs a lock on function and if you could put it in all the long rang attacks, i think that would help. now the movement. i told you i had some problems with it. but i also felt like i knew how to solve it. i havent played a first person game in some time so the controls were foggy. but now i remember the A,W,S,D went along with the arrow keys which controlled my direction, not my movement. so if i used the arrows, i would stand in place while changing my direction. it would also be good to add a button that would make you look in the direction your facing. it helps in platforming to so you dont run off the edge. now, last thing is the jumping. using it out side is fine tho i think it would be good if there was a double jump then glide. the thing is doing it inside is the problem. but it was just a small problem i was having. but i see it becoming some thing later. in the under ground cultist place, at the beginning when you have to jump up to get to the hole in the wall. i think maybe calming up would be best or if you could do both. one more thing. the things i mentioned are basic things that are most likely going to be used often. so it may be good to sort them out early so they wont trip you up later
