July 26th Weekly Update

Had another busy week, and worked on a variety of things.

I did some work on the cultist basic costume. I'm not sure whether she's gonna get any underwear or pants yet. I'm also still deciding on what kinda of hood she's gonna have. There will be a version with the helmet, but I don't know about that super tall hood for her.

Also did some more work on a few animations that I've previously skipped. They aren't vital for things to work, but make the associated attacks/interactions look a little nicer.

Besides coming up with a few more puzzle ideas for the current level, I've also been trying to brain storm some better spells. I know a lot of them seem to be ineffective or underwhelming. I think a few of them are a lot better than people think, but even those could be a little more impressive. I would really like Meridiana to be a powerhouse when the player decides to go full magic, albeit one that can overheat fast. I've been brainstorming quite a bit on improvements.

One of my prototypes that I've done in my spare time is also a prototype of this magic system, where various directional inputs, when the attack is pressed can result in different effects. It works pretty well, and after I make a few attacks I might release that prototype to get opinions as to whether its useful/interesting at all.
