March 14th Weekly Update

This week saw some extra other work I had to do, so I was pulled away from development a bit, but I did take some time to do some work.

First, I had to fix an issue with the previous build, as it wasn't letting the player progress properly. I don't know how I missed this when I tested, but sometimes stuff slips by me.
If you missed the previous post, the last build should be updated now so that all the content is there properly.

I also took an evening to read through ALL of dungeon architect's documentation. It looks like it can do what I need it to, exactly like I want it to.

I generally get nervous with procedural content, as it tends to be boring and uninteresting. I'm not someone who needs or wants extra content if its not fun at all.

So I was worried that dungeon architect would just make boring procedural dungeons. It can do that, but it also can make dungeons the way I do, where its stringing together rooms that are prebuilt. This allows you to make random dungeons that still have that manual built feel.

While this is something that I am already doing, there are some extra features that look to be really useful, like different doorways and winding dungeons.
Now that I've got the documentation done, I want to do some actual tests over the weekend.
