Glee - SEASON 4 EPISODE 2 (BRITNEY 2.0) - REACTION

I love the New York side. I love Marley as well. I said it before, and I'll say it again...if they had more characters go to NY and dropped McKinley...I would have been perfectly fine with that. And since a lot of the characters did something with the arts after high school, it wouldn't be such a stretch that they would show up in NY from time to time, or that others would go out to L.A. where Puck and Mercedes are (or Chicago with Mike). They could have added the new characters (the good ones) as students to NYADA. Marley could have been competition for Rachel or something. I just don't feel like the 4th season is the strongest, it starts out ok...and I think it's the newness of the characters and locations and storylines...but I feel it goes down hill at some point. Your reaction to Rachel was funny. It feels she's already so grown up, but I also feel her idea of "sexy" is very skewed. Everything she did was all smoke and mirrors, not really sexy. I do love her voice and the arrangement of that song though. Brody is creepy. If a guy (or girl) who you are trying to be friends with, especially when it's your only friend at school, makes it known that their only interest in you is romantic or sexual it definitely tarnishes things. But, Rachel is young and dumb, just seeing a good looking guy with experience at school and in NY who is interested in any kind of connection. I feel like this is on track with most young college kids, especially when they're in a different state and feel like they don't have anyone.

I guess to me, the reason I’m so conflicted between the 1st 3 seasons and the last 3 seasons is due to the strange dichotomy of flipping from some of the original cast members and their new character roles and back to their beginnings where some of the “originals” are still prominent but, also there are new characters trying to “fill” roles of people who’ve left...why? Can’t the writers come up with a NEW creative way to integrate them into the Glee Cub? We must recycle “old” characters/attitudes? C’mon, man!!! We already did the Kitty thing with THE ORIGINAL Cheerios B1tc.. Quinn!!! We did the Bad Boy/Man S1¥t with Noah, now we’ve got his “brother-from-another-mother pulling the same crap? Plus, there’s Sue, leaping back into an adversarial role now?? We made progress and it feels like we’re back to square one!! I LOVE GLEE! But I feel like after the huge success of the 3rd season, during the start of season 4, the writers and producers didn’t know how to handle it and got “lazy!”

The Glee club in S1 started with 5 people, then Finn joined in ep 1, then Santana, Quinn, Britanny in ep 2/3, and at the end of Ep 4, Puck, Mike, and Matt. So the Glee club had a consistant 12-13 members for S1 and S2, towards the end of S3 they had 16 members. (Left) #1 Rachel #2 Finn #3 Mercedes #4 Kurt #5 Quinn #6 Puck #7 Santana #8 Mike #9 Rory (Did not graduate) (Stayed) #10 Artie #11 Blaine #12 Britanny #13 Sam #14 Tina #15 Sugar #16 Joe The first half left the Glee club, + Rory is now gone (7 people left), it was never explained but I'm guesing he actually did get deported and it wasn't a lie just to get Sugar back in Season 3. So right now the club got split in half. At the start of Season 4 there was 7 members, now there is 9 (Marley + Unique Joined), with Jake joining at the end of this episode making it 10 members. So they still need 2 members for the 12 member requirement to participate at competitions, so you weren't going crazy about the Glee club looking empty. Sugar was missing in this episode for some reason, sometimes people just randomly go missing, so there was one less person in the Glee Club room this episode. When you pointed it out during the performance, there was only 6 people sitting, with Blaine and Artie performing, so that's probably why it looks so small right now. Usually if it's a duet, there's 10+ people sitting all spread out not grouped together. And yes, I never realized that in episode they have the whole Glee club sitting very closely together, which makes it even smaller and depressing lol. Overall solid episode with music, the season does get off to a rough start so I'm glad you're enjoying it so far, but once things start picking back up we should be fine, but the insanity in Seasons 4-6 are WILD you are going to have lots of things to say about these episodes/scenes Also your reaction to Rachel's "Oops....I did it again" is HILARIOUS! "RACHELLLLL"

Heather Morris really is an amazing dancer. She was a back up dancer for Beyoncé and was on both So You Think You Can Dance and Dancing With The Stars. I think Britney’s ridiculousness is what makes her so special. The whole cookie/cheeto/orange soda/huge box of Pop Tarts/Kiki/ 70 ounce coffee thing is hilarious! I love New York Rachel as well! Her and Kurt’s apartment is AMAZING (Especially once fixed up and decorated) but Brody man….. I never liked him! Right now Santana is in Kentucky at college on a cheerleading scholarship that Sue pulled strings for. The glee club is not done growing quite yet. There is at least 2 new members coming for sure. One of which is going to BLOW YOUR MIND!!!! I actually loved season 4!
