Illustration Commission - Private Client

The reference provided was for a fairly low rez "sprite" design I was free to interpret as I saw fit, and I relished reading into every aspect and elaborating features out into exposed organs, rippling veins, the unnatural proportions.
I love these kind of lopsided silhouettes where massive upper bodies terminate in pinlike legs and tiny scrabbly hands, and I obviously have a special affection for any design that features rippling flesh and organs.
As an aside, with this piece I discovered i've had my resolution set insanely high since a specific piece that necessitated it for printing purposes - without realizing it i've been working at double my usual canvas size, essentially, which means every stroke even at max scale has been much smaller than normal, which explains the slow pace of rendering and the strain in my arm accompanying it since November. After returning to my native 350 ppi I was able to breeze through this piece in a single day like I used to, which is an enormous relief.
