Max was situated in the tube as the technicians did their final checks and closed the clear hatch over him. As the process began and the tiny machines were injected into him and guided to their proper locations by the equipment attached to and around Max, he started to thrash and scream wildly. His powerful arms hammered against the hatch and made it shudder.
"Designer, this process is overwhelming him."
"I assumed it would, that is why he is in a restraint collar."
"Is there nothing we should do about this? I mean it's inhumane..."
"It's unfortunately a price someone has to pay. Let the process finish."
After the process was completed, Max lie still in the chamber. The Colonel and General stayed back and soaked up the scene as the two technicians were apprehensive to approach. Their caution was warranted, as when they opened the hatch, Max bolted up.
"You mother...! I'll kill you both! You left me in there to be tortured..."
Before Max could make good on his threat, his body exhausted itself and he fell unconscious.
"That's not a bad thing, he needs rest." The Designer's voice came over the speakers and the technicians started the laborious process of removing Max's limp form.
