Project I working on

Hello guys I just wanna update project I'm working on for you.
I'm practice on 3d modelling hope I can do it good someday. But now I'm not have time to practice and learning about it. I'm working on design for commission another 3d modeller to make 3d model for me. When this project is finished for sure I will share with all of you here.

Now I'm focus on proportion of character first. A design is original proportion I was use for my art I think it good for figure but not good for miniature. For B or C may better for miniature. What you think please feel free to let me know if you have any advice or idea.
Happy to meet you all here thank for support and have a nice day :)

Now I'm working to mix A and B for the better one I plan to make NSFW and SFW version have coat and with out coat maybe add bikini version too but not sure modeler can do what I want or not Lol But I'm not worry if this time result is not accurate what I want I will find another modeler for fix it. That my plan.

Gotta go A. I feel anything smaller makes them look a little too small.

ItsChipsDubbo

Agreed lmao, the greater good(s) gotta be represented

Small hands are not an issue if they're posed in a way that they build into or out of the main body. For example, placing a hand on a hip, or wrapped around a loop of long hair, or meshed with some chainmail. Not counting any weapons or whatnot here, since the hands become part of that object then and generally have no issues printing. Fingers are much the same, they will print poorly on the majority of printers if they're too thin or spread apart, but if you pose them so they're all together and/or orienting the palm facing upwards with fingers extended, they will render just fine. Small feet, that's a bit of a different story, but it depends entirely on the rest of the sculpt. If the sculpt has cloth that the foot can be wrapped into, then it doesn't matter how small it is. That or a scenic base with support built into the structure of the base itself, like a hoof being placed snugly up against a rock facing (to create extra contact along the ankle). All in all, really depends on what Sarge is gonna want out of the sculpt.

I think A is going to work best, leaning on the bigger size for a mini typically works better as you can put more details into is. The main issues, as others have pointed out is the small hands and feet, to retain details on those for a mini you probably need to use the arms from B and the feet from C. I'd also slim down the inner thighs on A to have more of the gap seen on B and C so that retains the greatest range of posing options for the mini without the thighs clipping or being fused together during printing.

Lord of Nightmares

c is good

91 Gear Head

A, but need bigger boobs

Arn

I prefer A overall but prefer the legs of B.

A is my vote lol, <3 That said, all three would work in miniature form, but it really depends on what you're going for. C is very exaggeratedly cartoony in its proportions, it'd look quite different next to say, existing Tau models from GW let alone the anime-themed stuff produced by say, Minigames Miniatures. A in comparison is much more proportionate to real life, albeit with enough exaggeration that it's clearly not a scale model sort of dealio. Would be quite comfortable using that kind of design for a closer to "serious" miniature sculpt as it were. Like for a wargame proxy. B is a middle ground between the two, leaning down towards the exaggeration of C. I'd say it's not quite as cartoony, but just proportionate to real life enough it'd be pretty nice on a gaming table without looking too weird. That said, it'd probably fit a board game better than it would a wargame or something similarly "serious". Note, I'm not a professional in this field by any means, but these are my thoughts from being part of and adjacent to the wargaming hobby for a decade and a half or so. Take with a grain of salt, as usual <3

I agree with Max here, I've handled a decent amount of 3d prints at this point in my life to say that A absolutely would work fine in miniature form. A lot of it will come down to how it's posed and sculpted too, because a miniature with a strong core that all the details can build out of will print much better than one that is spread out with lots of fiddly angles and/or details.

Honestly Id prefer A. The others make them seem too childlike.

Mustang

I build articulated character model kits and A would fit right in with those. I think for the miniature you have to decide which details you want to exaggerate? The feet can be a weak point if small, but GW puts out minis that fly on a scroll or a ribbon, so if you’re using light plastic, you can get away with a lot.

Nuclear Bob

A looks fine to me, I would preferA. With B, the arms seem a bit too long, if they were flush against the side of the figure, they'd come down to the top of the stockings, where the arms in A end above the stocking, which seems right to me, C seems very out of proportion, with the torso being very small compared to the legs.

Richard Steele

A is My vote

Anime potato aka dave28

Bartz

Actually take bottom half of A and past it onto the bottom of the top half of B.

T.E.Bramble

I think somewhere between A and B would be best.

T.E.Bramble

A personally.

Pious Erika

Gonna have to say B for mini, but I like A the most

BoiLudens
