Update / Query
Added 2021-07-31 00:03:35 +0000 UTCThe last month has been pretty hard on me, but I'm still writing the best I can, and I have a bunch of stories going. The next month is looking to be more of the same in regards to work needing done though, since vehicles are being repaired by myself and father at a somewhat breakneck pace since they couldn't do so since I had gone to Florida.
On a positive note, my folks are realizing how much I actually helped their lives by sticking around rather than just living far from them. However, it has made them a bit dependent on me since there was a higher threshold of how much they could take on, and without me around for over a year, it weighed them down to the point that things were not only in stasis, but things started getting worse because they didn't have the time and energy to handle everything.
I have since handled the things they couldn't, and made their lives less stressful. On top of that, they have lessened their dependence on me by active maintenance. Handling things right there rather than procrastinate to handle things they felt was more important. So, TLDR; I couldn't really publish because things were in need of my attention, but I am getting more time now that things are less hectic. Next month is looking busy as, but less so than this last one.
With that said, here's a question. I have a bunch of stories I am working on alongside "Claptrap" and the "Warhammer" stories. So, would people prefer if I published them here, giving people something to read, before publishing them on a website in the future? Or would you all rather I publish them on a website and then publish a link here as I have been doing?
What brings this about is that I been looking at some of the other authors on SB and Reddit, and so on, and they tend to publish here first, and then on some website. It seems to work for them and I may imitate this, but I wanted to see what the people here wanted.
Probably should have done the second option of the poll from the start, but I was copying another writer who was successful that mostly just did links unless it was exclusive to Patreon alone.

If you are looking to change your model and turn this into a possible source of income, I would look to a content creator known as ideas-guy. He consistently has written 3 weeks ahead of what he posts on space battles forum, and let's people in different tiers, read ahead of what he posts on that forum. He also posts every week on a schedule(not bringing this up to poop on you, just pointing out a point of what makes people go to his stories possibly over others, the consistency) and has a high word count per post. My advice if you are wanting to model it off of him, get 4 chapters ahead and have the whole thing planned out to where the story is going so you know what to work towards in your story.
