Update

So where the hell have I been the last month+.

Well, you were already aware of the wind, and the damage it did to my folks house, and how we had to fix that, and how winter couldn't decide whether to stay or go. Well it came and stayed a few days after my last Claptrap Chapter and it got cold. -15 was the coldest it got and I, and the folks, were burning tons of wood. Actual tons. Probably 5+ at this point. Because we were burning through it so fast, I had to help cut wood for them and myself.

If you have ever cut entire cords of wood, you know how much time and effort that is to accomplish in a short time. If not, a cord of wood is 4x8x8 in dimensions, and on average (depending on the wood) it can weigh between 4000 to 4800 lbs. 1800 to 2200 kgs for you metric folks. It has to be cut, then split, and then stacked. With snow on the ground, on top of the extreme cold, on top of the burning through the fuel as we cut it, it reminded me of FrostPunk far too much. this was also on top of everything else I had to do already (Job, etc).

It burns you out in more than a few ways. I couldn't muster up the energy to write, let alone do much else like keep up house cleaning.

Fortunately we found a supplier who will cut and deliver wood for us, so that piece of our time is no longer gonna be spent.

Then I got sick. Got it from dad who didn't take precautions to isolate himself when signs of sickness came up. Fortunately it isn't Covid, but I feel like I wanna die anyways since it's hitting my sinuses and stuffing me up. My head pounds me.

I have the next chapter halfway finished, but it's not a fast thing (not that I was already doing anything fast). I'll see about posting it next week, and maybe a chapter for a different story to keep the mind interested instead of just wanting to Zonk out.

In the mean time, you all stay healthy, and go where it's warm.
