A small gesture of thanks - a few pieces of HD artwork

Here is the artwork I promised! It's just a few images that I thought were decent enough to make the cut after a few improvements. I'm honestly not sure if higher resolution makes them look any better, but I did add a little something extra on top. The art is nothing special, and I have a long way to go as an artist before I am able to produce anything really good, but I am determined to improve with every piece that I make.

I'll make a public progress update in the next couple of days, but to briefly tell you about what I've done so far: I've finished the first draft of the next (first) chapter, which is basically an incoherent collection of ideas across several pages. Next step is the second draft, which will be arranging said ideas into a sensible sequence of events from start to finish. And then, finally, the last step is writing everything, from dialogue to narration, into the game. Aside from that, I've done some coding as well, testing out the map feature I said I would implement, and I've made a number of sketches for scenes. That said, I am not sure when it will all be finished. I want to push myself to finish within a month from now, but that is probably unrealistic. Two months is more than likely, and three months would be the absolute extreme.
