Weekly Public Log #1

Firstly, I would like to thank the Patrons who took their time to provide me feedback for the early access of Episode 3, be it in the discord channel or in the survey. If you've played the public release, you may have noticed that I implemented a few changes in response to the feedback - primarily by adding a bunch of extra artwork. I couldn't address everything in the short span of time between the early patron and public release, but rest assured that I will be mindful of what you brought up when moving into the future with Elvensang's development.

Secondly, I would like to thank everyone else who submitted their feedback after the public release. As of writing this post, the survey has received 222 responses in just a few days.

Whether you filled out just a portion of the survey or every field you could, I am grateful that you took the time to let me know what you think.

As for what's next...

I am starting work on episode 4 (which would, under the previous naming format, mark the conclusion of the first chapter). A number of new characters has been introduced, and perhaps I should dedicate some of this progress log to talking about their part in the unfolding story.

Most important of all, not every character will have equal importance in the main story. For example, Sunny and Anasteya stay at the very top of the pyramid and will have abundant screentime in every episode, but Baven and Olevia are insignificant in the grand scheme of things and their screentime will reflect this - and the rest of the characters are sprinkled between the two extremes.

But there is always a little wiggle-room to give one side character an extra bit of screentime, and to that end, I will be holding a poll for patrons of Elven stranger tier and above (as per their voting privileges) about which character this should be in the next episode. The winner of this poll will get an extra scene in the next chapter, though do keep in mind that this scene will be 'lore-friendly' (so don't expect an out of the blue sex scene - at most, it will be accompanied by some suggestive artwork).

If your favorite does not make it, you don't have to worry because all of the 'important' scenes with side-characters will happen regardless of voting; this isn't anything more than a chance to find out more about a character you are interested in and have them appear in an extra unique artwork or two.

As this is the first time ever patron vote, it is largely experimental - but if you guys like it, we can make it a thing for every episode. I will hold the vote itself in the next few days and keep it running for at least few weeks. The options will be Kara, Trisha, Becky and Olevia. To put things into context, Trisha is planned to have at least 3 scenes in the episode, Becky at least 1 scene, Kara maybe 1 scene and Olevia is not set to appear in the next episode. 

On another note, as the title of this post suggests, I will post weekly public logs from now on. Even if it's just a few sentences, I will try my best to make this into a firm tradition to keep everyone updated on what's going on with the development.
